We all know that the old continent is full of ancient #traditions; sometimes boring, sometimes folkloric, they teach us a lot on #Europeans#history, #culture and philosophy. But besides the most famous ones, there are others, less known, which can be surprising, amazing or funny and deserve a special focus… The following list draws a panorama of how Europeans sometimes #GoCrazy. #WeirdTraditions in #Europe https://goo.gl/xsZD7T

Let us introduce to you three enchanting, historic mansions!

Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum, in Mdina, was the former home of Capt Olof Frederick Gollcher OBE (1889-1962), the son of a prosperous shipping merchant of Swedish descent. Gollcher was an artist, scholar and philanthropist, but also a discerning collector of objets d’art and historical objects. #PalazzoFalson was not only his home, but also a setting for his works of art and antiques.

Casa Rocca Piccola, in Valletta, is the only privately owned property open to the public in Valletta and has a fascinating variety of different things to see. Originally built in the 16th Century for Don Pietro La Rocca, a Knight of Malta, it is now the family ancestral home of the 9th Marquis de Piro and his family. There are literally hundreds of magnificent things to see. #CasaRoccaPiccola

Palazzo Parisio, in Naxxar, is a 19th century stately home with a history, architecture and interior unique in Malta. Originally built in 1733 by the Portuguese Grand Master Manoel de Vilhena, who ruled the island during the time of the Knights of St. John, it was later bought and embellished by Marquis Giuseppe Scicluna in 1898. Described as a miniature Versailles, it is a glorious showcase of Maltese and Italian craftsmanship. #PalazzoParisio

This is a true blast from the past !
