ADOPTING CAMERON By Jo Ann ---------------------- #FacesofFragileX There are no words that can truly describe the joy Cameron has brought to our family. . . and friends. He has some developmental delays and requires Sensory Integration Therapy, OT and PT at this time. He may need Speech Therapy when he’s older but for now, we treat him like any other baby. We love, kiss and cuddle him. We play pat-a-cake and swing. No matter what the future holds, we know who holds the future. Truly, children are a gift from the Lord! And Cameron IS our gift. Best Parts of My Life By Dana Smith ---------------------- #FacesofFragileX There are many candid photos of my Niece and Nephews, I come across this one to remind me how carefree they are. Erin – The eldest, is the ring leader, 2nd mommy, tattle tell, go getter and over all sneaky ninja… She is often in her own little world of superheroes and sports and quick to give me the typical 8 year old attitude of “Whatever Aunt Dana” yet will still give me a hug when I visit questioning why I haven’t received them as soon as I came through the door. She’s the quirky one out of all three, keeps us all on our toes with her wild imagination. Cole – The middle child, at 6 years of age, he is a force to be reckoned with. You can’t miss the grin that sweeps upon his face when he sees someone he recognizes, or the silly little laugh when he finds something to be funny even if you have no idea what it was. A lover of all things Thomas the Train and with that includes Thomas books which he’ll sit with his legs crossed and flip through the pages repeatedly mimicking what has been read to him countless times before. Cale – The baby, and at 4 years old will manipulate the best of them cause he knows he’s the baby. Another one with a grin that brightens the worst of days… He enjoys watching his family do regular day to day activities, like cooking and cleaning and is ever so eager most of the time to want to help. He follows in his sister’s footsteps of being the wild child of the family and when he starts in on his daffy duck voice, there’s no stopping him. These are my babies, and hold a special place in the hearts of many in our family as well as those in the community that know them. They have taught me about understanding, patience and learning how to do things differently which makes and keeps life interesting and many times fun. Aunt Dana loves you all. ------------------- WE WANT TO HEAR YOUR STORIES! Tell them at http://buff.ly/24GnQPT
