its me or he's like Old Spock!!!

ohh yeah he is :D

that's very cool. I remember seeing a photo of the cast posing with Enterprise when she was renamed after the fan write in campaign. :)

It's great that Nimoy is on hand in NYC to view the arrival of the Enterprise. Live long and prosper.

(edit) Maybe he was there to visit Massive Dynamic?

What schtick! Everyone is smiles as we watch the human space flight program die a slow painful death.

+Doug Eason Retiring the shuttle fleet is the best thing that NASA has ever done. Now back to real space exploration with practical vehicle design.

Leonard you look great! Wonderful photo!

Another attempt to shame the shuttles. They were good birds. Lasted well beyond their predicted life. Practical design? Where? NASA admin said Orion was not innovative... does NASA have a clue where it wants to go? No. It might have a better idea where to go if the gov wasnt constantly trimming the 'budget'.

Wow that guy looks at like spock from those star wars movies .... #;-{D

Sheldon would be jealous.

LOL I dont need a wiki. I've lived it. Private ENTERPRISE hasnt proven they can do it. Let's see private ENTERPRISE' track record after 50 years.

One additional comment. Space X is private enterprise at all. Space X takes money from NASA.

+Gary Calpo The rest didn't show up because they can't fit into their bell bottom pants anymore!

+Doug Eason Yep, for start-up costs, just like any other start-up using grants from the government. The goal is to be self sufficient when they start charging NASA and private citizens for rides.

HAHA Spock is waiting for his ride to pick him up

It is no small amount of money. Space X needs to establish its own record nonetheless. Getting to/from space is no easy task.

He must be there to get the ship ready for Admiral Kirk's inspection!

Leonard Nimoy is waiting for the Enterprise's arrival. That's such an awesome headline in so many ways...

I wonder what NASA James Hansen thinks about the Carbon Footprint of each flight?

Will the Prince of Carbon Footprints be found on the Moon?

If he offers to cut pieces out of your brain...RUN!

I wonder if it's in the other universe ;)

How very appropriate :) Nice!
They should have T'pol as well. :)

@Alex Hagen Sheldon is in the shuttle ;) Bazingaaaa!

Leonard Nimoy resembles the late Joe Paterno.

Is he still alive? Vulcans must live longer than us, I spose?

has appeared in several episodes of the TV series Fringe

yeah so ill b a trekkie til the i die. by the way where's captain kirk?@christopherreid

um...he does know this isn't "the" Enterprise, right?

She can grow her own Leonord Nimoy now.

this picture is nice as my mind, due to both are happy

Awesome. And it was cool to see him in the last episode of Fringe.

Or a double agent ... you could say the same thing about Branson's gorillas - how do we know they not special forces people in gorilla suits, after all?

Have you see the Big Bang Theory episode when penny gets a napkin fore Sheldon signed by him!!! WOW

In fiction or reality, the Enterprise did a lot for us. Even though a ship, deserves recognition.

Space the Final Frontier. These are the Voyages...WE INTERRUPT THIS PROGRAM TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE OBAMA WHITE HOUSE HAS SHUT DOWN THE SPACE PROGRAM. ...NOW BACK TO YOUR PROGRAM...

Space, an empty void, is it the final frontier? We shall see soon enough.
