N200 @ Event Tech Live
Not only are we exhibiting and participating in a panel session at Event Tech Live, we are also hosting a ‘Campfire Session’.

Our first foray on to the stage will take place at 10 am when we will show you how to embrace the power of data to understand and improve your event; how using data can positively affect engagement levels and stimulate interaction.

Our second session will be on the mainstage alongside industry peers including Katie Crocombe of easyFairs and Jim Curry of Exhibitor Smarts and is intended to address some of the big questions the industry is asking about the future of events such as “What technologies we will be using?” and “What will the attendee experience look like?"

We are also exhibiting and bringing a little of the #N200BeachDay to the Old Truman Brewery. All attendees to visit the stand 30 will be entered into a prize draw to be in with a chance of winning a GoPro camera.

We bring a new meaning to happier exhibitors this week having won the 2015 Exhibition News for Best Supplier to Exhibitors.
 
We pride ourselves on our work with our exhibitors and the software and service they receive.
 
Exhibitors are at the heart of a successful event. At N200 we constantly innovate our software to empower exhibitors to manage their participation, prove ROI and control their success at an event.
 
Our entry included our Partner Portal and Visit Connect software which enables exhibitors to generate more leads pre event and be able to capture better quality leads onsite whilst exhibiting.
 
N200 have been able to offer real-time lead scanning to exhibitors for over 4 years, enabling exhibitors to be able to respond more proactively to leads and ultimately close more sales as a result of their exhibiting experience. We strive to innovate to keep ahead of customer requirements and deliver usable solutions to the exhibitors.
 
In July 2014 we surveyed over 15,000 exhibitors using our software, to tell us how they engage with our products and what improvements they would like to see. As a result, our latest release of products for exhibitors (Q4 2014) included a number of responses to those requirements.
 
We continue to survey exhibitors (and organisers) that are using our tools for feedback on the products and to see if we are meeting the challenges they have ahead.

By Matt Coyne: The moneyball effect - Why is data so important?

Some of you may know I’m not actually from Somerset (though I do like my cider!) but from California. I grew up following baseball pretty closely and loved my "local" team, the Oakland A’s.

We had the great names and big hitters of Mark McGwire & Jose Conseco, but the A’s were heading for a slump… that was difficult to get out of! I was reminded of this watching Moneyball recently...

Essentially, Billy Beane, the General Manager of the A’s was up against it. He was faced with a decreasing budget, he was losing his top players and had to think of something new to get Oakland back to the top.

So he did. And he used data.

The short story is that he brought on board a young economics graduate with new ideas about how to assess a player’s value and ability based on their on base percentage (more on base, means more likely to score runs). This wasn’t met with huge enthusiasm from the board or the scouts (traditionally used to find new players - emphasis on traditional!). After a slow start (and bad performance) they went on to win 20 consecutive games and set an American league record.

Post Season, Billy was then offered contracts with top clubs like the RedSox (for $12.5million – which would have made him the highest paid general manager in sports history) which he refused, to stay with Oakland. Two years later… Boston RedSox went on to win the World Series using Billy’s model!

How is this relevant to exhibitions?

It’s pretty simple really. I wanted to highlight that by using data, you can improve your return. For example, are you looking for new revenue streams, new features or for new audiences?

Even if you only have a basic understanding of data (you look at your reports right?) you have access to this information (provided its within your job spec;-). You can find the gaps for new audiences, which could then bring you new sponsorship or exhibitors. You can see visiting paterns to see if you can increase dwell time at your event. You can see delegate types, to see if you need to showcase new content.The list could go on...

Use the data you have wisely and you can increase your return!
