Roasted murmura (puffed rice) is one the easiest and most common snack at home... I remember mom making kadhai full of these and storing them in air-tight jars for all of us to snack on during vacations all day!

It is healthy, easy, and very delicious. Check out the recipe by +jayashree trao

It's the season for fresh CHERRIES!!! 🍒

Cherries are a great source of Vitamin A and they are full of anti-oxidants. They improve immunity, protect from diabetes, are great for skin, and have anti-inflammatory properties.. all this plus the deliciousness :-D

I love how they are always in a pair... somewhere I read, cherries are the luckiest of all fruits. They are never far from the one they love! ❤️

I am trying to think what other fruits come in pairs?

Wishing you all a "cherry-on-top" kind of Sunday!! We are having a beautiful sunny/cloudy 🌥day today and my plan is to go to the local farmer's market for more such fresh produce :-)

Did you know with 55% natural sugar content, figs are the sweetest of all fruits and since they retain their water content in baking, they can easily be used to substitute part of sugar and butter in baking! :-)

Every recipe shared on the forum by all members are tasty and delicious. Glad and grateful to be part of this community. Here is my entry for this week..

Sugar-free and eggless Banana muffins. I first made them when I wanted to gift them to my neighbour who was a pure vegetarian but since then, these have kind of become the staple in our home :-) you can replace the all-purpose flour with whole wheat for more fibre.

2 tbsps unsalted butter use olive oil for vegan muffins
4 tbsps honey use maple syrup for vegan muffins
½ tsp vanilla extract
3 very ripe bananas
1 cup all-purpose flour
1½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp cinnamon powder
1 pinch salt

Pre-heat oven to 190ºC
Melt the butter in a pot on stove or in a microwave. Add honey and vanilla. Mix well and keep aside.
In a mixing bowl; sift together all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
Mash the bananas and mix with the butter mixture.
Add the banana-butter mixture to the flour mix and mix it all together with a fork. Do not over-mix; just enough to mix everything together well. The final mixture will not be as flowing as a cake batter; but more thick and lumpy.
Put paper cups in muffin moulds and fill them about ⅔rd with the mixture.
Put in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes or till a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Remove on a wire rack to cool.
