The apartments are nice, but overpriced. They nickel and dime you on everything; pet rent, washer/dryer. It is impossible to keep the mildew out of the shower. The pigeons are completely out of control. If the fire alarm goes off, the fire department doesn't have the key to shut it off and it can take an hour for the alarm to be shut off. The main pool was closed for an entire season. If you are a slimeball who trashes your apartment and then moves out in the dead of night, you are their kind of tenant. If your neighbor is causing problems, they don't do anything about it. Long-term tenants who have paid their rent timely are treated like dirt. If you want to upgrade to a larger place, it costs a fortune and they treat you with suspicion, like someone who just walked in off the street, despite your prior history in the same complex. They also shut down the office regularly for meetings and "trainings" but don't bother to tell the residents (they have a group e-mail list but don't think they need it for something like that). So if you need something, you run the risk of them being closed for half the day without notice. Don't live here.

Thank you for your feedback, Bob. We would like the opportunity to address any open maintenance requests, but are unable to find you as a resident or occupant in our community. Please email us at riverwalkmgr@nals.com or stop by our office at your earliest convenience. Unfortunately, the fire marshal did have trouble silencing our fire alarm due to an isolated shortage. We have since replaced the fire alarm system. Our swimming pool has been open all year long and accessible with a personalized key and pin code. I hope you will contact us if you need a new key and code. We do try our best to maintain a tranquil and quite community; if you have a noisy neighbor after hours, please call 232-0105 and our courtesy officer will remind your neighbors of quiet hours. Also, have you checked your spam folder for our monthly newsletter? They are sent via email with our holiday business hours. They can also be picked up by your mailbox. We hope to hear from you soon, and to address any lingering questions or concerns you may have. – Thank you, RiverWalk Management Team

I have lived here for about 6 months and so far have enjoyed my stay. It is literally minutes (walking distance) to Bosque Trails and minutes (drive time) To Coralles and the less cool Rio Rancho. It is well located as food and various stores are in the surrounding areas and has easy access to several main streets that run across the metro area. Since I moved in in the fall I have not used their pool/clubhouse facilities but have used the grills there. The pool looks nice and I look forward to swimming in the summer. Havent had any problems or have to deal with any one who works here but in passing, they are always nice and say hello and the office has some mighty fine cookies. I would recommend it to friends.

When they showed us the apartment they promised that the smoke smell would be gone, wall painted, carpets cleaned, and that the steps would be fixed. Well, they lied, none of that happened and took about 3 months of living here for anything to happen. The sales folks in the office will tell you anything to make you move in, just know that whatever they say it's a lie. The office is horrible to work with, they don't care or hate you for asking about problems. For example our water heater started on fire and they wanted us to pay for the repair. The water heater started on fire because the years worth of cotton had collected around it. Do not live here!!

Don't ever live here. The office is rude, disrespectful, and as long as they get your money they don't care at all. Three cars was broken into, including mine, they did nothing. Things were stolen from my front door, and they didn't care. AND we went on vacation and the exterminators had somehow locked us out of the apartment. We had to wait 5 hours with our dogs, for them to figure it out. The apartment smelled like smoke forever, and there is mold in the shower. It seems so great at first then just gets worse and worse. Don't bother even asking the office for anything. Also it is WAY over priced. $792 for a ONE bedroom. Never again. Can't get out of your lease without paying almost $2,000 dollars, and you can't keep ANYTHING on the balcony without the "House Mouse" marking you for "No No's!" Don't live here. Don't. P.s. The fire alarms went of at 3-4am for 4 nights in a row for hours, guess what? The office didn't do anything and apparently NO ONE knew how to turn them off. Again, don't live here.

I have lived at River Walk for about 6 months and so far I really like it. I haven't had any issues and all my neighbors have been really friendly. I am retired so I was looking for a place to stay for awhile and I think I have found it.

I've lived here for over a year now and I love it. Yes, it can be a challenge getting maintenance done and it seems like there's always some kind of construction going on within the complex, but overall it's a very nice place to live. The location is great and you can literally walk to the Bosque from here. There's easy access to coffee shops, groceries, and the bus transit station. The gym is adequate and meets my modest needs and everyone I've met seems to be extremely pet friendly. I expect to live here for the next year or two until I finish school.
