Fun Fact: Donald Trump spent 3.2 million on Custom Embroidered Promotional Caps!
This proves Promotional Products Work! Did you know Donald Trump’s campaign spent more money on promotional products than televised ads in June, choosing to let his iconic “Make America Great Again” caps do a lot of the advertising for him. We also knew that, at least during the Republican primaries, his campaign allocated 75 percent of its total spending on marketing. Now we know, thanks to The Washington Post, that his campaign has spent more on those caps than polling.
Citing Federal Election Commission statistics, The Washington Post reported that Trump’s campaign has spent $1.8 million on polling from June 2015 through September 2016. In that same time period, the campaign spent $3.2 million on hats. Overall, the campaign spent approximately $15.3 million on promotional items, like shirts, hats and signs. That’s more than he spent on direct mail, polling, field and data statistics, and payroll.

Tip 1: Choose Wisely:
There are so many social media sites, and unless you have a large dedicated social media team, you can't realistically participate in all of them consistently and effectively. Focus your efforts where your customers and prospects are. Poll your customers to see which sites they use. Its also a good idea to research which social sites your competitors are active on, and look at what they're posting and how much engagement they get.

The Importance of First Impressions

A positive first impression is one of the key factors to building a lasting relationship with your customers. It may be a cliché, but “you only have one chance to make a first impression.” So, how can you get the best impact with minimal cost or effort? It is easier than you may think.

Neat and Clean is Key – Making your retail space or other customer-facing area neat and clean is one of the most affordable ways to make a good first impression. It doesn’t cost much to keep any area clean. A little sweeping, dusting and wiping down can make a big difference.

A Friendly Hello – Make sure you, or another staff member, is around to give customers a friendly hello. It is a simple gesture, but it is something that will be remembered long after the fact. Just make sure the hello is genuinely friendly and not forced or fake.
Good Lighting – Any customer-facing space needs good light. While you may rely on skylights or windows to provide light in the form of sunlight, what will you do on a cloudy day or if you decide to stay open late? Make sure you invest in good bulbs that provide favorable light.

Branded Materials (Promotional Products) – When customers walk in the door, they should know where they are. Consider branded rugs, posters or other items that have your company’s name and logo. Building brand awareness isn’t that difficult and may only require a few simple elements. Consider items a customer can take with them, as it will give your brand lasting exposure.
