Very useful list - do you plan to edit & expand this based on suggestions & feedback? Would be great as a living/breathing resource.

Would be great to add other contact options if possible - not that i want to create/suggest more work for you Bill!

I added this to our Citation Resources post on BrightLocal blog - http://www.brightlocal.com/2014/05/21/15-great-citation-resources-local-search/

New local consumer survey results - on avg. consumers are prepared to drive 17mins to visit a local business.

This goes up to 23 minutes for some business types and drops for others.

Not surprisingly, businesses which are frequented most often and have less critical in nature have shortest driving times. But people will drive for longer to visit a pub/bar than the gym - what does that say about us?!

We really shouldn't be driving to the gym in the first place right! :)
We surveyed 800 consumers to see how long they were prepared to travel to a local business. The average was 17 minutes, the maximum was 23. How long do you think they will travel to your business?

Hey +Myles Anderson, you know I always like these surveys.  But I have to second +Max Minzer on this.  My posts are relevant to SMBs and local SEOs, too, but I know if I posted them either Max or Mark would nuke them - and rightly so.

I have been training with Gyles for 12 months and seen great improvements in my fitness & core strength. I've always been reasonably fit but never pushed myself hard when training on my own or visiting the gym. I realised that if i wanted to get truly fit & build core strength i needed someone to make me work harder to see that improvement. Gyles designed a tailored program for me that involves weekly sessions and exercises to do between sessions. He pushes hard in training sessions but doesn't make it feel like a chore. I really didn't want someone to shout at me, but rather someone who could motivate in a positive way and encourage me not to give up when I started to flag. And that's exactly what Gyles does. So far the results have been great and I've recommend Gyles to plenty of friends who have had equally great experiences.

Very nice little Thai restaurant. It only opened a couple of months ago but it's already a great addition to Lewes restaurant scene. My wife and I both had the chicken tom yum soup which was packed full of flavour. The chicken was soft & succulent and the spice level just right. The interior of the restaurant is simple but charming - little wooden tables & bench seats. It's not the most comfortable place to sit for a whole evening but the food is good and the place feels authentically Thai. We will be back!!

I live up the road from Symposium and it is a great wine merchant & drinking establishment. They have a great selection of wines from lesser known producers. The quality is always good, right from their £7 bottles up to the £25 bottles that i have bought - my budget doesn't go above that. They are always happy to advise and the knowledge of their wines is excellent. They are also very generous with tastings and have 4-5 bottles on the go at one time, so there is often something new to try.
