For me, the ultimate travel experience includes a natural setting. Being outdoors in the purity of nature soothes my soul and recharges my batteries. Whether I’m actively experiencing the outdoors or simply sitting on a secluded beach taking in the sights and sounds, I return home with my optimism refreshed and a renewed appreciation of the environment.

Cruising from L.A. to Auckland or Sydney (or the reverse) is usually discounted since it's an ocean crossing with lots of sea days. You only have to endure one international flight. Relaxing sea days offer plenty of opportunity to enjoy shipboard life including nightly entertainment and dancing.
