Does spring weather have you thinking about a summer trip to one of the 407 parks of the U.S. National Park Service? An outdoor vacation is good for your well being as long as you avoid the stress of noisy, packed campgrounds and crowded hiking trails. To take control of your trip—and well being—plan ahead. Three Ways to Avoid the Crowds Want to skip the crowds in U.S. National Parks? Follow these travel tips:
Spring is the time for cleaning out, reorganizing and getting rid of clutter. This year, as you’re spring-cleaning closets and drawers, don’t forget about travel accessories. A few hours spent reorganizing and cleaning travel items in March will make summer trips easier for business travelers and vacationers alike.
Cruising from L.A. to Auckland or Sydney (or the reverse) is usually discounted since it's an ocean crossing with lots of sea days. You only have to endure one international flight. Relaxing sea days offer plenty of opportunity to enjoy shipboard life including nightly entertainment and dancing.
You’re sitting on a beach chair with toes in the warm sand. The ocean gently laps at your feet. Ah, there’s nothing better than a relaxing vacation at the beach. It’s pure travel bliss and oh-so-good for your well being. But if protecting your skin from the sun’s harmful rays isn’t part of the vacation, you may be saying “ouch” next winter when the dermatologist removes a basal cell cancer, or an even worse, from your nose.
For me, the ultimate travel experience includes a natural setting. Being outdoors in the purity of nature soothes my soul and recharges my batteries. Whether I’m actively experiencing the outdoors or simply sitting on a secluded beach taking in the sights and sounds, I return home with my optimism refreshed and a renewed appreciation of the environment.
