HELP US HELP FRAZIER! Frazier is a 2 to 3 y/o large breed mix male, found in July 2014 at 17th and Maple. He is fully sponsored and currently boarded at Audubon Animal Hospital. When found, Frazier was already neutered and heart worm negative, but no microchip or collar. Frazier has been a good boy in spite of the long period of living in the kennel. We can arrange an introduction to Frazier if you will contact Judy Petry or Ronna Hammers either by PM on FB or calling 502-931-7321. See More http://ow.ly/Iy456

Forget the Milk Bones! If you really want me to pay attention during training (and you are practicing treat-based training) use a highly valued treat item like LIVER! (raw or dried as you see here)

When you choose a new furry friend, ask a vet or trainer for simple tests you can do to gauge temperament. For example, you can try rolling me over on my back to see how I handle it. If I really struggle I'm probably going to be tougher to train than a fur-kid who lays quietly. P.S. ADOPT ME....don't buy me from a breeder!

YOU may think it's cute when I scoot my butt on the floor or grass but it probably means that I'm itchy, have worms or my anal glands need to be expressed. Take me to my vet!

Please introduce me to people and other dogs when I'm young so I'm not afraid of strangers. Some experts say I should meet 100 new people of different sizes, genders and ethnicities in my first 100 days at home. Make sure you include people wearing hats and sunglasses since those things can be scary to me! - Love, The Dog

To stop me from scratching on furniture, cover the entire area with an old bedsheet, aluminum foil, strips of double sided tape because those don't feel good on my paws. Then put a tall scratching post right in front of it. Love, The Cat

There's no question that if you keep me inside and don't let me wander I'll have a better chance of living a longer life. I won't get hit by a car, stolen or lost. But once you've let m roam free it will be HARD to change me. Love, The Dog & Cat
