Quite an eventful ride. Road was posted as closed but I had to go that way. I was able to cycle the 5 km stretch of gravel and holes ! Thumbs up for the Vittoria Corsa Tubular Tyres, feel I could manage the Pave (cobbles) now :)

OK folks here it is. I took the trouble to record everything I ate and the exercise I performed for one whole week. 12 minutes of exercise on Wednesday, 90 minute cycle on Friday, 25 min run on Saturday and another 12 minute...

It's that time again, I'm going to test my FTP which I presume will be down due to the fact that I'm not getting any younger and my cycling has been a wee… - Old Git Fitness - Google+

We knew the chain was worn the week Sol snapped the hanger and chain and cable so I had just ordered a new chain. Then followed the new hanger and cable but the chain was skipping on the middle two cogs. A new cassette solved this. The worn chain worked fine on the worn cogs but the new one obviously didn't 'fit'.
I really am going to replace both chain and cassette when it's 1% stretched from now on. Got to check the other MTN bike now :(

Hello, just introducing myself. I'm 48, have arthritis ! Worst affected are my knees. Have done running and cycling in the past but not a swimmer. After a cortisone injection in the knee in 2013 I did a lot of cycling. Last October I started doing a bit of running again. A month ago I started swimming, front crawl only and it seems to be helping my shoulders.
Noticed some knee pain on the last few runs which may be related to my bizarre and erratic kick in the pool.
I started a Google page called Old Git Fitness but can't be bothered flicking back and forth anymore so will probably retire it soon.
Get ready for some more posts and some sharing of information :)

If you enjoy outdoor pursuits such as hunting, fishing and wood cutting then this is the shop for you. Normal hardware store, kitchen goods and clothing too. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff for firearms and accessories.

What a great day out we had. There are other boats and they use radio contact to help pinpoint the whales. Free food not great though, so if you don't want a ham sandwich or chicken nuggets for the kids then bring your own.

Can't fault it, staff very efficient. Rides are great fun. The Dragon is the scariest, even though I did the big one, The Tower Of Power. Although it says no picnics, they allowed us to take in our Hotel Packed Lunch. You cannot take in alcohol.

Possibly the worst steak and ale pie in the world, even the waitress thought it was stew. Horrible chicken burger, very poor Texan BBQ pork. I don't know why google is giving my review 3 stars without me choosing the stars, I would give it 1 star because of the food.

No real complaints. Staff very attentive. Food is OK, although better can be found in local restaurants. Coffee and tea machines covered up at dinner times. Rooms have a fridge but it's locked and costs 4€ a day. Only one extra power point for charging things and it's in bathroom.
