Dream Muslim Marriage (Part 1)

How to be in Love with your Spouse?

Accept life as it is...

The pleasure of life are short-lived, and more often than not, they are followed by sorrow.

Life means responsibility, a journey wherein change is constant and difficulties are many. You will not find a father, a wife, or a friend who is free from problems. Allah has willed for this world to be filled with two opposites; good and evil, righteousness and corruption, happiness and misery.

So live according to your reality without always envisioning the ideal life that is free of worry and toil. Accept life as it is and adapt accordingly to all circumstances. You will not find in this word such things as flawless companion or the perfect situation because flawlessness and perfection are qualities that are foreign to this life. It is necessary for us to make amends; and at times to overlook faults and mistakes...

Two Sahabi came to Ummul-Mu'mineen Aisha (radhi allahu anha) and said,

"O Mother of the Believers, there are two men among the companions of Prophet;
• one of them, hastens al-Iftar and Salaat, and
• the other, delays al-Iftaar and Salaat."

"Who hastens al-Iftar and Salaat?" she asked.

"Abd-Allaah Ibn Mas'ood." they replied.

"That is what Allah's Messenger used to do." remarked Ummul-Mu'minee.

Sneeze during Friday Khutbah...
...should I say alhamdulillah?

"If a member of the congregation sneezes on Friday, he should say 'alHamdulillah' silently.

If he says it out loud, and the people around him hear him; it is not permissible for them to say, 'Yarhamuk Allah' to him."

- Shaikh Ibn al-Uthaimeen, ash-Sharh al-Mumti (5/109) islamqa

"When Shabaan is halfway through, do NOT fast."

- Abu Dawood (3237) classed as saheeh - in Saheeh al-Tirmidhee

EXCEPTIONS to this are;

• One, who is in the HABIT of fasting, such as Mondays and Thursdays.

• One, who started fasting BEFORE halfway through Shabaan.

• One, who is making up MISSED Ramadaan fasts.
