"Learn it. Learn all about the business, how all elements work and figure out what you want out of it. It's fine if you are not excellent at writing press releases or figuring out tour logistics, but just know what goes on, because at the end of the day, no one cares about it as much as you do."

This week's Savvy Seven is with Fanny Lumsden who was
recently named "New Artist of the Year" at the Country Music Channel Awards.

"I’m in the music industry and no longer drink alcohol... I know many, many people in the creative industries who are in a constant state of trying to cut back, slow down or stop drinking altogether." #musicindustryinsideout

"Work with people you want to be friends with. Surround yourself with people you like and want to have a beer with or go on holidays with even if you weren't in business together...the music industry is especially volatile and unpredictable and I've come to learn that it's the friendship that is the glue that keeps it all together, especially when things are bad."

This week's Savvy Seven is with the wonderful Bob Evans!
