Paul Lewis’s pianism has an almost naked sincerity that is rare today and it seems to come right from the heart.

At 43 Paul Lewis is one of the leading pianists of his generation. On his current tour he plays a Brahms murder ballade which he links with Beethoven's massive final piano sonatas.

Music to Inspire
Introduction
Musica Viva is one of the largest entrepreneurs of chamber music in the world, presenting approximately 2,200 concerts across Australia each year.

Chamber music is alive in Australia!  Explore what is chamber music and learn about Musica Viva's commitment to contemporary chamber music since 1945.

Now led by artistic director, Carl Vine, and CEO, Mary Jo Capps, Musica Viva is Australia's oldest performing arts company.  It was founded in 1945 by violinist Richard Goldner.

The International Concert Season season brings the world's greatest international artists to the concert halls of Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Newcastle and Canberra.

Coffee Concert matinee performances feature the best and brightest of Australia's chamber musicians in Sydney and Melbourne.

And, the bi-annual Musica Viva Chamber Music Festival pairs the world's grand masters of music with the country's rising stars.

The Musica Viva In Schools program celebrates 30 years of bringing quality music education to schools in metropolitan and regional areas across the country.  And, from 2012, the program will include digital interactive resources to give music teachers the edge in primary music education.  The digital resources can be used on interactive whiteboards and any computer, and make learning music both fun and rigourous.

Musica Viva has further plans to develop young talent across Australia and to tackle the digital world in the coming few years.
