I have already read a lot of blog posts from a variety of bloggers this side of 2018 in which the word authentic has appeared. Which has got me wondering recently whether this is going to be THE big deal within blogging and influencing this year?

I’ve been talking a lot lately about how Hubby and I are making a real effort to go out more and make more time for each other. Since the start of the new year we’ve made a pact to book our lovely babysitter, get dressed up and go out to dinner more together.

Last spring/summer I really started to find my own signature style after losing my way a little after becoming a Mum and having my baby twins. In 2017 I started to get more confident with clothes again – and, in particular – found out what really suited me.

I write about being a blogger a lot. I guess it’s because I love it so much and it genuinely is a real passion of mine. In the last 4 years I have always felt the desire to want to sit down and write, and have personally got so much out of it all.

I haven’t written one of these ‘life lately’ posts in ages – so I thought I would sit down and do one just to encapsulate things that are going on for us as we start a new year. 2018 has already been lovely and also a busy new start too for our little family.

It’s still pretty cold out there at the moment, isn’t it? And it’s STILL January. I don’t think any other month feels as though it goes this slowly. I know everyone I speak to is just wishing for the season of spring to arrive now; for all the pretty buds and flowers, and much less frost.

When you become a Mum, heels and pretty footwear mostly becomes something of the past (apart from work, weddings, date nights or events). Because when you’re in charge of small people, all of a sudden you need to be quick, comfortable, practical, nimble and on your feet ALL DAY.
