Pareto's Principle or the 80-20 Rule helps you manage those things that really make a difference to your results.
"Named after the Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto, who observed that 80% of income in Italy was received by 20% of the Italian population. The assumption is that most of the results in any situation are determined by a small number of causes."
Similarly, In Blogging this principle can really affect your KPI's like increasing your traffic etc.
Many people are doing it all wrong, they focus on just creating the content, sharing it on their social media profiles and maybe posting it on a few other directories or social bookmarking websites and pray that people start visiting their websites. Then you create another piece of content and the last one goes into the archive with very little or no attention.
You can fix this through the 80/20 principle. It's simple, instead of just writing the content, focus on at least 80% of your attention on the content distribution. When I was building my startup, One of the things that I compiled during this time was a list of different web app directories (both big and small) where I wanted to submit my product once it was ready for launch.
To save your time and energy, I’m sharing this list with my followers on my blog. http://bit.ly/1IT8SzO
Content should receive the most attention based on an efficient use of resources.
