Congratulations to MSO Associate Conductor Francesco Lecce-Chong on his appointment to assistant conductor with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and music director of the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra! Thank you for four wonderful years! We look forward to working with you again next season!

Congratulations to Michael Wu (Madison), the winner of the 2015 Wisconsin Youth Piano Competition! Congratulations as well to 2nd place winner Joshua White (Germantown) and 3rd place winner Liam Mayo (Appleton).

For pianists ages 10-16, the Wisconsin Youth Piano Competition, presented by the MSO and the PianoArts North American Piano Competition, challenges young musicians while providing positive learning experiences through rehearsals, performances and classes with professional musicians.

We are honored to be a part of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation centennial "Gifts to the Community." The MSO will perform two free outdoor concerts in early July featuring more than an hour of patriotic favorites. The signature event will take place on July 4 at 2:30 PM at the Washington Park Band Shell.

Introduction
