The Riverside's distant past will become the present as the legendary theater will play host to two screenings of the beloved 1942 classic 'Casablanca' Friday and Saturday night. And to complete the blast to the past vibe of the event, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra will perform Max Steiner's famous score alongside the movie.

We continue to mourn the loss of our friend and colleague, Nicolas Sluss-Rodionov.
Nicolas Sluss-Rodionov was supposed to sing the baritone solos with the MSO Chorus on Saturday night, but days before the concert he died from injuries suffered in a car crash in Wauwatosa.

This past weekend, Edo de Waart and the myriad talents of the MSO were in full command of the virtuosity, style, and poise required for such a wonderful program.
The concert offered a remarkable variety of Richard Strauss’ works, and all brilliantly played.

Introduction

Among the finest orchestras in the country, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra is the largest cultural organization in Wisconsin. Since its inception in 1959, the orchestra has received critical acclaim for artistic excellence.
