Workout of the Day: Ninja Warrior Workout
Ninja are the fabled mist warriors, appearing and disappearing almost like magic, displaying practically superhuman powers. But they have to train too. Ninja warriors can do a lot of fancy moves but they rely on core strength in order to do so. The Ninja Warrior workout targets the muscles you need in armed and unarmed combat to help you develop the kind of strength that allows you to move your body with confidence.   

Instructions: Repeat each move with no rest in between until the set is done, rest up to 2 minutes and repeat the whole set again 3, 5 or 7 times depending on your fitness level.

What it works: Quads, calves, glutes, lower back, front hip flexors, deltoids, abs, biceps, trapezium muscle, lats, obliques, cardiovascular system, aerobic performance (VO2 Max). 

Make it better: When performing jumping lunges clear the floor each time by at least a foot helping put added pressure on your quads.  

Make it harder: On the jump knee tuck, bring your knees up to touch your chest. This creates more explosive power and works your abs as well as your front hip flexors. 

Body types this can work for: Ninja come in all shapes and sizes. This is a workout intended for everybody. Having said that gravity is inescapable. The heavier you are the harder this will be, but persevere.
