I had the pleasure of talking to Katherine Ozment, author of "Grace Without God." We talk about the search for meaning, purpose, and belonging in a secular age.

When introducing your husband-to-be or wife-to-be to your family, you should take gradual steps. After all fully integrating into a family takes patience and time. That said, here are a few steps you can take that should make this transition a little easier on everyone in your blended family. http://ow.ly/hkRR303yjof

We're happy to share resources that can benefit dads and their families. From adoption, to general advice, to green parenting, and more!
To paraphrase Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz: “My! Resources for dads come and go so quickly here!” And because they do, this is by no means a comprehensive list of resources. But I’d really like to create one—and you can help. If you know of a resource–or category of resources–that can benefit dads and …

P&G's ads give the impression that all our athletes were abandoned by their fathers and raised exclusively by single mothers. Ignoring fathers as parents is insulting and only alienates them. Definitely a bad business move.

Dear Mr. Dad: During the last Olympics, you wrote about how Procter & Gamble’s “Thank You, Mom” campaign ignores dads and their importance in their children’s lives. I was hoping that they would have made some changes, but they’re at it again. Why is this still going on? A: I honestly wish I knew. Even …

Nobody knows dads like Mr. Dad
Introduction
Being a dad comes first. Always. But for the last 15 years or so, I've devoted my career to giving men (and those who love them) the tools, support, resources, and knowledge they need to be the dads they want to be--and their family needs them to be.

I'm the author of eight bestselling books on fatherhood, covering everything from pregnancy and infancy to toddlers, school-age kids, and even teens. Titles include The Expectant Father, The New Father: A Dad's Guide to the First Year, and The Military Father: A Hands-on Guide for Deployed Dads. I write two nationally syndicated newspaper columns, "Ask Mr. Dad" and "Parents@Play," and host two parenting radio shows. "Positive Parenting" airs on a dozen stations in the US, and "Positive Parenting for Military Families" airs on the American Forces Network where it reaches more than 2 million American servicemembers and their families on 500+ stations in 177 countries. Oh, and I guess I shouldn't forget about my blog and website, mrdad.com

Whew. Besides all that, I do a lot of work on men's health issues and edit a popular blog, Talking About Men's Health.
