We have released #vaadin  *gwt-polymer-elements* 1.1.3.0-alpha1. It uses latest #polymer  1.1.3 which includes a lot of of new widgets added to Polyme-iron and Polymer-paper collections in the between we released previous version based on 1.0.2, like iron-list, paper-dropdown-menu, etc.

Take a look to the demo page (http://vaadin.github.io/gwt-polymer-elements/demo/) which includes some of the new widgets. We still have to add more of the released widgets to the demo though.

Every couple of months sprinkle a mixture of baking soda and a tablespoon of your favorite fabric softener over your mattress, let it sit for an hour, and then vacuum it up. Gets rid of dust mites and freshens up the mattress. Keep that same mixture in a small mason jar with holes poked in the top in your linen or clothes closet to keep it smelling fresh!

Here your have the slides of my presentation in the GWT Meetup about the GWT-Polymer library being developed in #vaadin .

The project  includes a ready-to-use #Paper + #Polymer library para #GWT which you only have to drop in your CLASSPATH in order to use material design components in your project.

Right now It wraps the polymer 0.5 version, but in the Vaadin Components Team we are working on providing the JsInterop wrapper for the recent polymer 1.0.0 version very soon.

Kubuntu 15.04 is Heating up

http://jriddell.org/2015/03/18/kubuntu-15-04-heating-up/

We are getting close the the final beta for Kubuntu Vivid (soon to be 15.04). Lots of changes, including a transition from LightDM to SDDM; Upstart to sytemd; and Plasma 4 to 5.

There’s still plenty on the bugs list many of them probably quite easy to fix if you fancy helping out.  Our To Do list has plenty to be done including several that could be classes as junior jobs if you’re wanting to get into free software such as making some new recommended applications for the Muon Discover banner or reviewing the ISO contents to see if anything can be removed and get the size down a little.  We’re in #kubuntu-devel on freenode if you want to say hi.
