It is now eight weeks since we voted to leave the EU but it may be at least eight years before the UK is fully and totally out of Europe – if we finally leave at all. After a post-truth Brexit campaign, now the era of truth is dawning in Downing Street and they are discovering there was never any work completed by the Brexit team on what wthe costs of leaving the EU would be and how precisely it would be do

A broken food system is destroying the soil and fuelling health crises as well as conflicts, warns Professor John Crawford of the University of Sydney

Parliament is sovereign and, if Brexit wins, the Government will not be legally obliged to invoke the Lisbon treaty to start an EU exit. The vote represents less than 75% of the population and already the leave propaganda has been proving untrue.

My newest #PathOfExile build :-)
When I saw the Skirmish quiver in 2.3, I wanted to make a build for it. I've always liked dual-totem builds, but never done an effective one as a Ranger, so here was the chance. On top of that, I decided to make it a FAST(!) build. This is a serious dancer! Manually evading mobs and projectiles ...

Joseph Stiglitz saying what I've been saying for years. The eurozone as currently constructed in untenable.
To say that the eurozone has not been performing well since the 2008 crisis would be an understatement. Unless its authorities make seven changes, its members will inevitably conclude that they are trapped in an untenable marriage.

Theresa May’s new government is unshowy and serious for a good reason: there are sobering times, and sobering budgets, ahead

According to Anglo-Saxon legend, King Canute set his throne by the sea and commanded the tide to turn back, thereby showing his people the limits of royal power. Like Canute, British Prime Minister Theresa May and EU leaders need to acknowledge reality – before it's too late.

Two lessons learnt last week...
1. Never ever go on the M5/6 route ever again! Delays are dreadful.
2. Garmin makes POS GPS... Google on the other hand makes an accurate and free one!

Ref. Point 2...
I used my new #Garmin GPS on the way up to the lake district, and it was abysmal! At one point it told me to do an 180 degree turn while I was driving north from Bristol on the M5. Later it told me a road was closed (which it wasn't), then lead me on a route to use one that was closed!
On the way back, I had Google running alongside, and it was much more accurate. Sometimes the Garmin would happily tell me there was not traffic ahead... while my car was stuck in traffic... Google otoh correctly predicted all slowdowns and were fairly accurate on how long they delayed as well.
