Hi all, as I started getting into biking and really loving it one of the few questions I have be asked was "Are you doing bike4chai?" And of course as a good competitive sportsman I said yes (if I can get in of course). As I started collecting the entrance fee ($5000) I started doing some more research about Chai lifeline and what they do. I have to tell you , I have been touched. The attitude that they teach people to have and inspiration that they give over is just overwhelming. It's a " no limits " ( to ones dreams) and " nothing will hold me back " ( to ones goals) attitude. Chai lifeline is not limited to cancer patients its all types of people anyone that's having a difficult or different type of life than usual. As a matter of fact really any, any person. That's why it's so apropos for them to be having "bike4chai" teaching people that there are no limits. Biking 180 miles in two day is unbelievable but all it takes is self determination from ones self and of course a person like you to donate to such a worthy cause. So please take a look at this video youtu.be/6Qkee1nPugw
that shows what they are about and please donate to the cause with this link.Bike4chai.com/MordyFestinger
This summer, in memory of my mother-in law Ruchama Levy, I will be biking 170 miles through 3 states to Camp Simcha, an extraordinary overnight camp that gives children with cancer a vacation from sickness. A summer in camp restores their spirits and renews their determination to fight!
The ride won't be easy, but neither is life for a child with cancer or other serious illness. Camp Simcha and its sister camp, Camp Simcha Special, are Chai Lifeline's flagship programs. Every year these two camps offer 420 children a chance to forget about illness and just be kids again. To learn more about the camps, visit campsimcha.org
I will be biking to camp on Wednesday and Thursday, August 3rd & 4th. My objective is to raise at least $5000 by then and I hope you will help me reach this goal. All donations are 100% tax-deductible.
Please contribute by clicking on the donate button now.
Thank you for supporting me and doing so, helping children and their families cope with the diagnosis, treatment and aftermath of serious pediatric illness.
