Under the changes, unless the new legislative conditions are met (which are substantially onerous on employers) or the transitional rules apply – which expire on 1 July 2014, employers must now pay Fringe Benefit Tax (“FBT”) on the entire amount of all LAFHA benefits payable to employees.
