Our teen volunteers have been working hard all summer to raise awareness and money for sea turtles! So far, they've raised $1880 and are hoping to raise more by the time summer is over. Check out what they had to say about sea turtles below:

Sea turtles need your help! Pollution from plastic bags and other trash hurts sea turtles and ocean life everywhere. Plastic trash is choking our ocean, and 80% of it comes from land.  Let’s all take the #BetterBagChallenge together and try our best to not take disposable plastic bags for an entire year. Need a little more convincing? Check out these adorable rehabilitated sea turtles we released last month with NOAA Fisheries & Houston Zoo  as they start their journey home into the ocean:

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of attractions. The aquarium was under construction however the large attractions we're still open and not crowded. The jungle exhibit was fun. Beware of animal poop as they have a lot of animals roaming around you. Awesome experience. The ice carving exhibit was amazing. This alone was worth the experiment. The I've slide was fun for me and my 4 year old child. We must have spent 30+ minutes in the 9 degree temperature going down the slide. I was very impressed with the exorcise as well as the hotel. The interior was up to date and in very good repair. Most resort hotels I've been to are very low quality. Moody Gardens hotel was impressive in comfort and style.

Loved Iceland. Bring your own gloves and hats otherwise pay 16.00 for a set. Ice sculptures were beautiful. Kids loved going down the slide in 9 degree weather. Staff is always wonderful. We have family pass. Can't wait til we go back next week

Lovely place to visit and it's close enough to Houston for a day trip. The exhibits and animals were a joy to see. The 3D and 4D movies were educational and fun. A great venture that's not just for kids. The Iceland exhibit was awesome. I am glad we got a chance to experience it and a shout out to the engineers and workers who put it all together.

Kids loved it! Getting a one day pass for all of the activities was well worth it. Iceland was incredible. Carvers are very skilled. Ferry ride at night was a little long for the kids though.

I come here often with my 2 year old daughter and wife and we all love MG. We have a season pass so we will just come here even on a spur of the moment. The 4D theatre is super fun and has shows my daughter loves which is a plus. My only complaint is the buffet restaurant which I feel the staff isn't always on their game. Last week we were seated and it took almost 20 minutes for a waitress to finally greet us and take our drink orders. And the food isn't the greatest so we usually will eat somewhere else on the island and between exhibits. Overall I love this place and recommend it to friends and family.

I love moody gardens. All the attractions are wonderful and well worth the family membership we bought. If you live in the area, I recommend buying a membership that covers your entrance for 365 days. The attractions are constantly changing, so it's good to go often. The ICE LAND exhibit is AMAZING even though it only lasts about three months. Great sized aquarium and the rainforest is something from story books; complete with monkeys, a sloth, and several other animals. The MG 3D Theater is the largest screen in Texas and the 4D Theater is a totally different way to experience short films. Finally, the museum pyramid constantly changes its contents, so it's well worth returning every couple of weeks.

Good family fun. But you can do it all in one day if you get there early. Don't buy the multi day pass. MOST of it is indoors, so don't worry about the heat or humidity. Lots of 4D movie experiences for the early teens and even a bit younger. Hotel resort located literally next door that is within walking distance.

Extremely lame 4d movie. It was by far the least 4d movie I have ever witnessed. We also did the festival of lights which was pretty weak. Tons of lights weren't even working. The price wasn't bad for both attractions though which was 30$ for an adult and 1 child. Moody gardens looks like it's getting run down with what we saw tonight. Terribly disappointing!
