Our teen volunteers have been working hard all summer to raise awareness and money for sea turtles! So far, they've raised $1880 and are hoping to raise more by the time summer is over. Check out what they had to say about sea turtles below:

Sea turtles need your help! Pollution from plastic bags and other trash hurts sea turtles and ocean life everywhere. Plastic trash is choking our ocean, and 80% of it comes from land.  Let’s all take the #BetterBagChallenge together and try our best to not take disposable plastic bags for an entire year. Need a little more convincing? Check out these adorable rehabilitated sea turtles we released last month with NOAA Fisheries & Houston Zoo  as they start their journey home into the ocean:

Beautiful family friendly resort. The place had everything. Attended the annual Red Cat Jazz Festival during Mother's Day Weekend and I highly recommend you stay there for the festival. The festival is awesome! The resort is beautiful and affordable. Will be going back every year.

The Aquarium was great! The Rainforest was good too. However, they should probably disclose that a particular part of an attraction is "CLOSED" before you drop $22 to enter it. We specifically asked the older gentleman in the "Crocodile Dundee Hat" at the entrance if the Ocelot exhibit was open. He said YES. Upon entering, we discovered that it was in fact CLOSED and looked as if had been that way for a good while... :( Other than this, it was great.

Hi there, Unfortunately I think he misunderstood your question. The exhibit is open along with the rest of the Rainforest, our Ocelot just isn't currently on display. We hope you enjoyed the rest of the free roaming animals ranging from Monkeys to Sloths! We're happy to hear you enjoyed the Aquarium as well!

I was given a 150 dollar gift card for Moody Gardens for my 30th birthday, by my aunt. I brought my girlfriend and it took an hour to even get tickets, because their gift card system is HORRIBLE! Do not buy gift cards. They can only be used in the gift shop. You cant buy any drinks or food anywhere on the property with it...they told us to go walk around and look for someone with a walky talky, and they could process our card. After being told my card was expired(they dont have an expiration) and that I couldnt even purchase a coke, and after paying over 115 dollars for two tickets to this "awesome" place, we just left the gift card and went on home....This place really let me down. Talk about a waste of money tourist crap.. go elsewhere..its barely worth your time. This place is run by kids. My gift card wouldnt work and the kid just gave me free stuff and said sorry and have a good day. Its hard to beleive just how bad this place is. Looks and hype can be deceiving. At best, this is for kids. Or adults with more money, than brains. Go to schlitterbahn and save your money. Looking for a perfect gift for your friends, family and colleagues? Starting at $25, the Moody Gardens® Gift Card can be used in so many different ways, so you can give them exactly what they want. Gift Cards are good for: • Moody Gardens attraction tickets • Penguin Encounter and Penguin & Seal Experience • Moody Gardens attraction annual membership • Moody Gardens Hotel accommodations • The Spa at Moody Gardens • Secret Garden Teen Spa • Moody Gardens Golf Course • Moody Gardens Golf Course Pro Shop • Restaurants throughout the Moody Gardens Property • Concession areas at Moody Gardens ----WRONG!!-- • Moody Gardens gift shops

Moody Gardens Pyramids is definitely a place worth visiting. I visited the Aquarium and rainforest pyramids and it was a day well spent. The Rainforest pyramid was the most fun, you walk through the rainforest and see some beautiful animals up close and personal. I was only a couple feet away from a monkey that was roaming around!

This place is great for families. Kids will love the 4D theater. Check out the Rain forest and aquarium pyramid. There's much more to offer as well. Pricey but enjoyable. Water park near by as well.

My wife and I have been returning to this place almost every month, it is just so great! It never gets old like my house's wall paint and it is refreshing to see new plant types as the only ones my wife and I see are the dead decaying weeds in our backyard. When my wife and I have our first child (which won't happen for a while), we will take our baby to see the wondrous sights of the three pyramids. Not only are the three pyramids spectacular, but they are also educational and have taught me many things about wildlife that I did not know prior. I have been to everything in Moody Gardens, including Palm Beach, the Festival of Lights, and the theaters. I have grown up with this place since I was on a elementary school field trip and have grown to love it ever since. Of course, I have plans to return this June with my wife and her visiting family and look forward to it.

This was an amazing day my family and I had. The animals were very active. My daughters (11,3&2) all enjoyed themseleves. They were worn out. We arrived around 10:30am and didn't leave until 4 in the afternoon. A FULL day of tons of fun. They really enjoyed the SpongeBob 4D Movie and the Ice Age 4D movie. They loved the boat ride. Everything was excellent. Thank you Moody Gardens for a day my family won't forget. Can't wait to come back around Christmas. :)

Great fun. It's well planned and educative but fun at the same time. great place to visit if you head down to Galveston. It's right next door to the water park.."Schlitterbaughn" or something, which add to the stuff you can do. Very child friendly place. There are 3 pyramids: (1) an indoor rainforest.. basically its a big pyramid shaped green house, with animals inside. The non-dangerous animals( like birds and monkeys for example) are not in cages! (2) An indoor aquarium with a myriad of features from places like the south pacific, to the carribean. (3) a discovery pyramid, with skeleton structures of different animals. for food.. they serve typical fastfood..corn dogs, hotdogs, potato chips, pizza. There is also a paddle boat ride you can enjoy, They have 3d and 4d cinemas.
