PLAY with us and make a difference in the lives of very deserving children!

The 3rd Annual From the Heart Golf Tournament has a unique goal: Raise enough funds in one day to purchase a Concerto Shower Trolley for the Shriners Hospital for Children in Galveston.

Last year, an outpouring of support for the second From the Heart Golf Tournament allowed us to raise money to put towards the purchase of a PneuWalker Mobility Trainer, to help advance the children’s healing!

This year, our goal is to raise enough money to purchase a Concerto Shower Trolley, this shower trolley is specifically designed as a safe platform to provide extra care for frail or disabled dependent patients or residents with no ability to support themselves.

There are several ways to get involved and make a difference - we have very affordable sponsorship opportunities, and are looking for participants, raffle items, and in-kind donations too!

12 p.m. Shotgun Start • 4 Person Scramble

Registration and range open at 11 a.m.

Registration and payment deadline is February 20, 2015

We had a group of 11 play the golf course for a special occassion. The MANAGEMENT of this course is terrible. The gentleman inside lets us know that 'the tournament that day was playing a bit slow' and that our teetime would be pushed back "about fifteen minutes". Turns out they overbooked their tournament by 23 golfers and didnt bother to call us to let us know that we obviously wouldnt be able to tee off on-time. We didnt tee off until well over an hour after our booked tee time. Not only would management not accept responsibility for their mistake in not calling us and overbooking, they were unwilling to do anything to make it right besides give ELEVEN golfers two small buckets of range balls. They even had the nerve to come up on hole number 9 and ask us "to pick up the pace because its wide open in front of us". In the long run they wasted over an hour of all of our time and it meant nothing to them. It was obvious they overbooked their tee times to make more money. DONT EXPECT TO TEE OFF ON TIME.

If these people were one of my employees they would have been fired. I've been here three times. On no occasion have I teed on time. Management is absurd. Period. I will never return.

Management skills here are poor at best. Massively delayed tee times, zero accountability by management for screw ups, and professional courtesy to match the lack of competence. My friends and I had our entire day's plans postponed almost two hours because of this place, and they wouldn't even attempt to make amends. Save your money. Golf at Putt Putt instead.

Beating a dead horse along with all the other justly given 1 and 2 star reviews. Decent enough course but poor management. You'll feel like you're doing them a courtesy by forking over your $80 to play. I would strongly urge you to look into one of the good courses on the south side of Houston. If it's your only option then make sure you get a pre 8am tee time to avoid a guaranteed 5+ hour round.

This rating is due mostly to the staff, as the course was actually in really good shape. It was a shame that we couldn't enjoy it more than we did. We had a group of about 10 golfers that called two weeks in advance (which is the maximum they allow) and booked three tee times. A lot of times when you see that, the three groups will eventually group up and start playing together and really slow down the course- however, we did NOT. We all have played golf our whole lives and know how disrespectful it can be to other groups behind us to do so. Anyhow, we were supposed to start teeing off at 10:50, but the course had a tournament that morning that was running a little late and would put us back about "10-15 minutes". We were fine with that as it was a great day and 10-15 minutes extra warming up wasn't s big deal. HOWEVER, the pros failed to disclose to us that what really was going on was that they had booked a 70 person tournament that morning but let 93 play! We couldn't tee off until the tourney was done and do you know how much longer it takes an extra 23 people to play through? I'll tell you- one hour and 45 minutes! We had already paid at this point, so all they would offer was a total refund. And not even an apology- going so far to say "it was out of their hands". They did give us two small buckets of balls though. For 10 people. For 1 hour and 45 minutes. What a way to make things right. They could have called us earlier in the day when they knew that they would be delayed, or told us the truth BEFORE we PAID! And then to say it wasn't their fault- just who let those extra 23 people on the course then? Sounds like they were trespassing and should have had the cops called on them like a group below. Besides all that debacle, by the time we finally did get on the course, it turns out, not all of the tournament had gotten off. In fact we were on pace for a 6 hour round through hole 4 before the tourney finally left. And then at the turn, the Marshall asked us to pick up our play because it was wide open ahead of us! Well no duh! It just had the feeling that they were seeing $$ and not caring at all about the huge inconvenience they gave us. We had to shift the rest of our plans for the day back by two hours. Now, I used to work at a golf course and I know what a huge hassle a large group of golfers can be, but for that reason we had called and set up three tee times and were very respectful of the course and the rest of the players out there that were in the same boat as us. We were trying to help them out as much as possible, and they couldn't even show us the same respect? I know had I been on the other side I would have definitely issued an apology and explained the situation up front and then at least waived cart fees or something. But we still wound up paying over to $80! Save your money and drive up north a little ways and play at any of the great courses just south of Houston. Positives: nice course Cons: terrible customer service

Absolute WORST customer service I've ever received at a golf course. We reserved a block of tee times for a group of 11 golfers (no group discount offered by the way) three weeks in advance. When we checked in, they informed us that there was a tournament going on (on a Saturday) and that they "had more people show up than they planned on". They did not inform us of this tournament when we scheduled the tee times. We had to wait an HOUR AND 45 MINUTES past our tee time before they let us start playing because they kept letting tournament foursomes go off ahead of us. They did nothing to make up for the major inconvenience except offer us two buckets of range balls for the whole group. Apparently courtesy means nothing to them as long as they can double book weekends at full price. The professionalism shown at Moody Gardens makes your local muni goat ranch look like Augusta.

Management has no regard for how long you have to wait to tee off as long as they get your $80. No apologies for wasting your time nor any rebate offered. They know being the only public course in Galveston allows for them to not care. I personally will never return.
