When you travel for business what is the most important aspect you look for in your hotel accommodations?

Rewards travel is a beautiful thing. Earn enough points with an airline, and you can score free flights or upgrades. If you’re planning a trip, and you’re a member of multiple programs, you might want to see how much that flight will cost in terms of miles rather than dollars. AwardAce can help with that.

Our national parks and lands are a great way to get outdoors and reconnect with family, friends, or even yourself. This Tuesday, you can get in for free to any park run by the National Park Service in celebration of their 99th birthday. http://lifehacker.com/209141/find-a-... I am a truck driver who was searching fot a hotel to stay at in Monterey, California. I called Days Inn ahead of time to ask if they have parking space for a semi truck. The receptionist said there was available space. When I arrived, July 13, he showed me a place on the street near the hotel. He said it was secure. I was given a room where the windows did not face the truck. I stayed for about 12 hours. The next day when I left the hotel, I noticed the fuel level behin to drop drastically. When I checked both tanks, I saw that the tank facing the hotel was empty and the six bolts that keep it tightly shut were unscrewed. About 100 gallons of diesel was pumped out of my truck. This had to take several people to complete to be able to do this. I can't imagine what would happen if I were to go check on it during the night but I know that it would be dangerous and I would surely get harmed. When I called Days Inn, they said they had no surveillanve cameras on that side of the hotel and that they are not responsible for this. I feel that the receptionist was involved in this theft and helped and gave the robber information. The rooms were nice and clean but for one night in this hotel, I lost $400, $100 from the room and $300 from the diesel. I will NEVER return to this hotel and I DO NOT advise other truckers to stay at this particular Days Inn in Monterey, California. On top of that, there was no air conditioning and it was very hot. Very outdated furniture. The coffee maker had a very bad stench and I refused to use it. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. Overall a very bad experience and extremely offensive.

Great place to stay at Monterey. Nice helpful staff and the place is very clean. Continental breakfast was good too. Love how it's close to everything and it's walking distance to Fishermans warf. Will definitely stay here again.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! The manager at this hotel is the WORST I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED! The room had bed bugs & what I think was a roach but I'm not sure, when we complained to the manager he was very UNHELPFUL and gives all Days Inn a very bad name. I will NEVER stay at another DAYS INN EVER!

I stay here each time I'm in Monterey Bay. The rooms are super clean and the price is perfect. Friendly staff — I had forgotten to cancel a reservation and he waved the fee/no cancel policy. I highly recommend staying here and plus it's convenient to everything.

Plumbing kept making a gurgling sound all night long. Let the manager know and they said they could not do anything about it, since it was water coming down the pipes from upstairs. No other rooms available. Room was very dark and priced much higher than expected. We had driven all day and it was late .... Continental breakfast was quite skimpy also. Just oatmeal, bread and apples. We won't stay here again.

Great location. It was two miles from cannery row and Trader Joes was a couple of blocks. However, the room was so noisy I didn't sleep. The fridge is so loud! The pillows were very uncomfortable. The shower is gross. I wore flip flops. Parking is free though and it's close to Bay Bikes. I just wish I could have slept. Oh, the motion sensor lights are the worst!

Large, clean room. Bad customer service! Front desk clerk laughed when I asked if he would waive the $10 per night roll a way fee, and when I asked for a complimentary late check out he would only allow another 45 minutes. I used to work at a major hotel casino here in Las Vegas, and I know these are small things that dont cost the motel anything, but goes a long way with customers. On our last full day I called the front desk and asked if they would print us a map and directions to San Francisco. The woman said incredulously, "San Francisco" , like I was crazy and how dare I ask for such a thing. She stated that she did not have access to a computer for that! What?! So we make due with my daughters smart phone. But just as we were leaving for our day trip to San Francisco at 7:45am, I realized i had left a bag in the room along with my key. My wife gave me her key, it did not work! I went to the office, they were not open, and would'nt be until 9am. So we had to leave without some food and water that we purchased for our trip, which cost us even more to repurchase in San Fran. Overall good trip. Will look for somewhere else to stay next time. Unaccommodating Staff!

Never Again. Heater made an awful noise could not even leave it on and sleep at the same time, so we were cold. Holes in blanket. Paid for an Ocean View, the ocean view is the name of the building out back. Breakfast was VERY poor. When asked for some type of compensation we were told we should have called down for a blanket.
