We are extremely excited to be launching our #Roundup4Kids program again this coming November. It was a huge success last year, raising up to $3000.00 for the Darling Home for Kids Foundation. The Darling Home provides high quality respite and palliative care services for children who are medically fragile and technology dependent, many of whom suffer from progressive illness.

Starting November 1st, stay at any one of our Monte Carlo Inns locations across the GTA and Barrie and upon check out, you can round up your bill to the nearest dollar or donate any amount you wish to. You will also have the opportunity to visit www.darlinghomeforkids.ca/montecarlo and donate online. Help us help the darling home at doing what they already do such a remarkable job at. #charity #toronto

You actually enter from the rear, as that is where all the parking is and have to come around the front, which is a bit awkward but front desk is easy to find. Has automatic doors and both front and rear allowing for easy entry with luggage. Landscaping is beautiful, both front and back with two large water fountain displays. Safe, mini-fridge, microwave, lots of drawer space, desk to work @ with plugs up top and not underneath. Two chairs for a sitting area with table so you do not have to watch TV in bed. Lots of cupboard space. Check in was a breeze, I just gave them my last name and they pulled up my reservation. They did ask if we wanted a room with a Jacuzzi, but for $40 more to me that is not really worth it. In hindsight it might have been since they do not have a hot tub, indoor or outdoor, just a pool. The hotel does have a coin operated washer and dryer located on the bottom floor next to the fitness room. This is also where a lot of the conference rooms are located. Fitness room is a decent size, although the universal weight machine was out of order. I did not see any free weights, but they do have a universal cable machine. There are a couple treadmills, elliptical machines, and bikes if I recall. My complaints are, no soap dish in the bathroom which makes cleaning harder and creates bacteria. Water pressure could be a little better from the shower heads and it is somewhat dark while showering, so they could use a light fixture there. Personal preference thing, but I did not like the carpeting, but it does go with the decor of the rest of the room. All of these are minor though, and did not detract from our stay.

Stayed here for the weekend. Our room had a few issues--the tub did not drain properly, the coffee machine and TV did not work. The place looks nice, but they really skimp with everything else. For breakfast, you have to go to the front desk each morning to pick up your breakfast voucher which is inconvenient since you come down the elevator and have to make a right to go to the front desk, then walk back left down the hall to get to the dining area. Not sure why this practice was put in place considering the breakfast isn't anything to take advantage of (just toast, cereal, some juice...we get much better breakfast at other hotels). Plus, it seems the service desk people have trouble knowing who to serve first. I had come to the desk first, but was ignored. They seem to prefer serving older customers to younger ones. This happened to me and my friend on separate occasions during our stay.

Room was great, staff were friendly an bed was really comfortable. Jacuzzi was a bit small and the shower was in a weird spot (out in the open). The one thing I did not really enjoy was the breakfast - basically just toast, muffins and cereal. Other hotels offer a bit more variety Overall would definitely recommend staying here again.

Avoid the dining room - it had horrible service, two girls for the entire room and they couldn't keep track of who had what table and the prices were insane the Pickel Barrell has better food and cheaper prices. The pool was freezing and the 100 up front deposit was an unknown before we arrived. The room was nice but small.

Fantastic value. Brand new everything. Very high speed internet compared all other hotels I stay at here in the GTA and in the states. Only negative - what's with the skimping on the outlets? No outlet available at the night stand. Only one available at the desk. Please replace lamps if you're listening with the ones that have AC power at the base. Really important for biz travellers. RECOMMENDED!
