resharing in light of all the publicity ALS has been receiving as of late :)

My favorite Super Bowl commercial this year was actually the Microsoft one!  It included a family friend of ours named Steve Gleason who used to play for the Saints but now has ALS.  They made a longer vignette about his life too (warning: waterworks likely)

In this weekend’s New York Times Magazine, I profile Spoon, the Austin-based rock band that’s built a 20-year career out of songs that use the building blocks of pop music—AC/DC drums, Dr. Dre synths, the “Duke of Earl” groove—to create something idiosyncratic and unmistakably their own. Spoon’s new album, They...

"Nelly the elephant is a resident of a wildlife park in Hodenhagen, Germany. Nelly predicts winners by using her trunk to knock a soccer ball into one of two nets. Nelly is said to have correctly predicted 30 of the 33 results from the women’s FIFA World Cup in 2006.

There’s no shortage of other World Cup-predicting animals, which, according to one report, include Brett the zebra, Tian Tian the giant panda, Barry the box jellyfish, Elmer the spot-breasted ibis, Chiyo the Thompson’s gazelle and Stephen the slime mold."
Now that Paul the Octopus is no longer around to defend his World Cup champion prognosticator title, which denizen of the animal kingdom will step up to succ...

Introduction
My name is Molly.  I am originally from Texas, recently graduated from Duke University (the home of Old School-inspired baby-oil wrestlingdangerous professors, and tent-filled pseudo-cities), and now live in San Francisco where I work at Google.

I particularly enjoy — among other things — long runs, strange maps, and good conversation.   I strongly dislike vegetables, cold weather, slow walkers, chronic tardiness, and the squeaking sound that styrofoam makes.
Bragging rights
probably better than you at spelling/grammar, chubby bunny, and the limbo. Also I was TIME's Person of the Year in 2006.
