PewDiePie isn't just a popular Let's Play YouTuber, he's the $4M-a-year king of YouTube - http://www.polygon.com/2014/6/17/5817118/how-much-does-pewdiepie-make

The Wall Street Journal sets out to explore the metamorphosis of Felix Kjellberg into YouTube superstar PewDiePie, a YouTube phenom who creates Lets Play videos for 27 million subscribers, but it's likely the only thing you're going to remember from the story is a single fact.

PewDiePie earns $4 million a year creating those videos.

I don't know where you guys stand with Let's Plays, but I got pretty excited when +Markiplier said he's going to be working on a let's play of the original Corpse Party.

Ladies and gents, I'll be in London for a little less than a week starting from the 21st to the 27th. Would be great to meet the few over there during my stay, I already spoken to a few of you about it, but now it has been confirmed. :D

+Mark Whiting dammit, I would have tried to postpone if I could, but I have some important things during July. I'd definitely try to visit Toronto later

No excitement over E3 announcements? the Squad community has been eerily quiet lately.

If someone had announced a new Fallout, I'd be less Nintendo centric.

Still listening to the latest episode. I understand +Mike Minotti  and +AJ Minotti  tried the Steam stream during its testing stages and were pretty down on how it worked. I've only used it once it got released to the public and I was pretty shocked how well it ran on my laptop. I'm also seeing some sense in why +Dammy Onafowokan wants a streaming box for his PC.

For the past few months, I've plugged my desktop PC to the TV since I've noticed that I use it mostly for gaming since most of my gaming now is on a controller. I did however reach a bit of a struggle when I start playing some games that require mouse and keyboard (Guild Wars 2, Diablo 3 and Smite).

At first I thought "no problem, I can just plug my mouse and keyboard whenever I do play", but that quickly unleashed a Cthulhu spaghetti monster of all cable tangles that I've ever set in my room. I don't have a laptop powerful enough to run GW2 and Diablo 3 on its own, so putting the desktop back to my computer desk was my only solution to that problem and where a streaming box makes sense.

As a person with an abysmal home internet network, I repeat to say that it works shockingly well, and gave me a possible way to reuse some of the older laptops lying around the house. I haven't tried it with any of them yet, but I'm considering using my old netbook for that, it may not be as powerful as a lot of other machines out there, but back when I was testing stuff on it, it was able to run 1080p video just fine on its E-350 processor, and that's an old machine, Dammy might find something within that chipset range.

TL;DR recycled machines should do the trick and the stream is awesome now.

one more thing: the laptop that I tested the streaming on is running an A8-4555M AMD APU, worked great, I will test the other machines soon.

Yeah, I could find an old laptop that I would only ever use for streaming. My wife and I had two laptops when we were in grad school. We sold them because we didn't use them anymore once we finished.

Thats my issue. Now our major electronic devices consist of 2 LG G2's, and LG G Pad 8.3, a Nexus 7, and my relatively beefy gaming/design PC.

I have zero need for a laptop (even a cheap one) as my roku can beam just about any content from our phone/tablet/pc to our TV.

I just want a small form factor, neat and tidy streaming steam puck to sit next to my roku on the entertainment center and beam the gaming goodness from my PC to my TV when I decide to game that way. No muss, no fuss. It seems so terribly simple. Someone will do it, and they will make a small fortune.

With the announcement of Child of Light coming to Vita, do you think Valiant Hearts would get a vita release too?

I'm pretty glad I didn't get Child of Light yet, definitely getting the Vita version.

My aesthetic predilection hypocrisy simmers to the surface. For some reason, I'd be far more open to the game on Vita.

I noticed I had a few older episodes that I didn't listen to for some odd reason, on episode #322 +Mike Minotti said he was looking for an arcade stick that works on both consoles. This may not be what he's looking for but thought it would be a worthy mention. My brother can't get use to an arcade stick so he got this that works a little more similar to a keyboard, where there are buttons instead of a stick.

It looks weird but full circles are as easy as rolling fingers through the directional buttons. It is a little bit pricey though.

If you do want an arcade stick that works with everything, I have a Qanba Q4RAF. Works with PC, PS3 and 360, though you have to flick a little switch to toggle between PS3 and 360 modes. It's USB rather than wireless and uses a square rather than an octagonal gate for the stick if that sort of thing bothers you, but it's sturdy, well-made and oh-so-satisfying to use.

We had a pretty good deal here and the stay was quite pleasant for a week. The coffee in morning tasted awful and everything is a few kilometers away from the hotel, otherwise the hotel itself is quite solid with a very hospitable staff.
