When March rolls around, basketball takes center stage. The 2017 National Wheelchair Basketball Tournament will be held at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky, March 30-April 2. In total, there will be 96 teams from six different adult and junior divisions competing.

Victory Junction has created a medically safe, yet exhilarating camp, that challenges children who have a serious medical condition to try things they never imagined possible.

Fundraisers sponsored by a local company, United Real Estate in Fair Lawn, NJ along with several generous donations made by local families enabled one of their residents, a young girl named Makayla, to receive a new accessible van. Even the mayor was involved and he was very excited to see Makalya’s new van.

After awakening to paralysis at the age of 15 from a sudden spinal stroke, Scott has focused his life towards helping others through motivational speeches and personal empowerment coaching. He has presented to over one million people in 38 different countries.

Tyler and his sister were rear-ended by a distracted driver, sending them both to the hospital. Tyler suffered massive head trauma, and has been in and out of hospitals and rehab centers ever since. He is unable to talk or eat on his own, but has been making progress.

Eleven seconds into the first game of Travis Roy’s collegiate hockey career, he went head first into the boards cracking his fourth vertebrae. Since that day over 20 years ago, Travis has worked relentlessly to help others recover from spinal cord injuries.
