MTI is one step closer to a national award in ACT’s third National College and Career Readiness campaign. Four two-year schools from across the United States were notified Thursday that they have been selected as exemplar semi-finalists.
We were cited for the annual Career Expo that brings together business/industry and post-secondary education. Our 99% job placement rate shows that our graduates are well prepared and are in high demand for their chosen career area. We’ll find out the winner in June! http://www.act.org/readinesscampaign/about.html

The MTI Power Sports team is putting the finishing touches on their entry for the annual Donnie Smith Chopper Class Challenge to be held in St. Paul, MN, March 28-29.  Team members DJ Clark, Aaron Hamilton, Trent Swenson, Travis Jansen, Spencer Kelly and Mitch Hurst completely rebuilt the donated 1973 Yamaha TX 650, MTI’s first dirt bike-style build.  This new hill climber has a custom swing arm, gas tank and rear fender.  Students did all the paint work, too.  Welding students at the Mitchell Careeer and Technical Academy also helped with the project.  Good luck at the contest!
