My wife and I searched every Subaru dealer in our area for a Forester. When we finally came to Mitchell Subaru in Canton we met with salesman Paul Olson and we knew we were sold. He was very knowledgeable and courteous so we were very comfortable with him. Needless to say, we purchased the vehicle and are completely satisfied. He stressed to us if there was ANYTHING we wanted to know to call him. I highly recommend Mitchell Subaru for your next purchase.

Not happy with the after service they have provided. I will keep it short. 1. 1st oil change - As the old gasket was left during oil change, it resulted in oil leak and I was left with no oil within few weeks. Had to rush to another Subaru dealer to get it fixed. Incident was documented for evidence that oil leak happened because oil change wasn’t done properly. 2. Massive Wind Noise issue on Legacy 2015 - There are two TSB's to fix the issue. When I went for the first time, it wasn't done properly and issue got much worse. Booked an appointment 2nd time, hoping this time, it will be fixed. I was at the service center before 8 AM i.e. appointment time. Even though appointment was scheduled for 8 AM, till 1 PM they didn't took the car in to fix the issue. I left around 1.00 PM and called them back around 3.30 PM and someone tells me that it wouldn't be done today and someone is working on it and they might need to keep the car. I had mentioned to them beforehand that I am driving out of state on Monday morning. So I went in and then one of the representative tells me that they would need to order the parts. It was clearly mentioned: "Massive wind noise" while scheduling appointment. Subaru had clearly posted 2 TSB's for Legacy 2015. If you don't have parts why schedule an appointment? If you aren't working on it then why tell customers that you would need one more day to fix the issue and then tell to them at the end of the day, oh we don't have parts. Clearly shows incompetence of technical/service department. I was told parts would arrive by Wednesday i.e. within 3-4 days max and then I would receive call back. It's more than 2 weeks and I still haven't received call back from them. I am still waiting for wind noise fix. Since last 8 months, I am driving this noisy car. It’s annoying, really annoying. After service from Mitchel Subaru is zero. (0 to 10 rating with 0 being incompetent in car industry) Sales = 9/10 After service = 0/10 That being said, I hold respect for Rich O. Nice salesman. I hope, he would work for some another dealer and I would definitely buy another car next year from him. You don't lie and play around with your customers and mess up oil changes and services.

We're very sorry that your experience with our service department has resulted in this impression. Noting that the first oil change you mention was not done at our dealership, we cannot attest to another garage's work. While we appreciate the compliments given to our sales team, the TSB-related service department concerns are ones that should be taken to a higher position of authority to resolve. The best course of action we can recommend is to contact Subaru of New England -- regional manager Bob Bennett will be more than happy to work with you, and your sales associate Rich can give you his email and/or phone contact at a moment's request, if desired. We hope we can handle these concerns promptly and thoroughly, and see you back in our dealership in the years ahead.

Since Mitchell's forwarded this approach to publicly review our recent experience...here goes: The 2010 Forrester is our 3rd Subaru purchased at Mitchells. Past experience has been fine. This visit was due to automatic transmission going at 47,500 miles...quite the surprise. We were 20 days inside our 5 year warranty. All services were provided ( at no expense) including a lender car for 8 days and a replaced transmission...apparently remanufactured with a 12 month replacement warranty. Those are the facts...disappointed at 47K miles ABSOLUTELY! Treatment at Mitchells was timely, courteous and professional...BUT..bad tranny at 47K miles and very good fortune of 20 days inside warranty..makes me wonder how I'd feel 30 days later after the warranty...you can easily fill in the blanks for that $2000. type headache.

As a multiple-Subaru owner, you can attest to the unusual nature of that happening! As always, we'll keep close watch over future conditions when the Forester is in for scheduled maintenance, and do everything possible to ensure that it's running and rolling in peak condition. All in all, it appears that our service team has been doing everything the could and should to keep you mobile and safe, and within warranty coverage at every step -- as you say, "timely, courteous and professional" -- is your review rating based on us, or on the vehicle? (You can review Subaru here on Google as a brand, incidentally.) We strive to earn every "star" possible from our drivers. If we haven't done that, please don't hesitate to give Drew or Ogden a call, and we'll keep working hard for you.

I put in an initial interest online and within an hour they called back and we arranged a meeting to look at the car. The salesman was incredibly helpful, honest, not pushy, friendly, and very courteous. I wen't from zero to test driving, to finalizing the paperwork in just one visit. They worked with me to find the right finance plan that fit my needs. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, they didn't try to scam me by marking up the price or hiding anything from me. These people are the best in customer service I've seen and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a Subaru of any kind.

This was our first new car buying experience in 17 years when we bought our existing Subaru Forester in 1998. (still running--no shocker). As a result, we weren't looking forward to the new car buying experience. But it turned out to be quite a pleasant and easy experience (did I just say..."pleasant"????) Granted, Subarus pretty much sell themselves, especially to current owners who can extol their virtues. Still, we appreciated the lack of pressure from our salesperson and his easy personality and even gave him hugs when we picked up the car. Yes, that's right. My husband and I gave him hugs. And we're not even former hippies. Thanks for a great experience, Mitchell Subaru. We L-O-V-E our new Forester!! We were referred to you by a former customer, and we'll certainly refer you to anyone we know who's in the market for a great car brand and dealership.

I brought my 2015 Forester in for its first service this week. I chatted with the service representative as he did a walk-around inspection of my vehicle. He was quick, thorough, and answered all my questions as he worked. From there my vehicle was taken in for the oil/filter change and a safety inspection. The service was completed a bit before the promised time and I was on my way earlier than expected. I definitely appreciated the complimentary car wash coupon which I promptly redeemed at the Mitchell SAAB/Volvo drive-through facility on the way home. I also appreciated the email service coupon that arrived to remind me that it was time for my vehicle's service appointment. The savings from that brought the total bill down to a very competitive price. I purchased my first Subaru (1979 DL) from Michell and have found with my most recent purchase that they are still a very reliable dealer. I would not hesitate to recommend Mitchell to anyone looking for a dealer to do business with.

Mitchell Subaru has the best staff of any car dealership I have ever been to!! Joe Cabrera and Paul Olson are incredible, and made my car buying experience fun, exciting, and ultimately painless!!! Spiro Mavredakis was extremely helpful and great as well! Everyone at Mitchell had a positive attitude and I was treated with great respect, despite a difficult situation I had with my trade in. That's exactly what we aim for, David -- long term relationships. Aside from a home purchase (as you know!), car buying is the second largest investment a person can make. We want to be sure each driver is completely satisfied not only with the vehicle, but the organization that stands behind it!
