97% of #Subaru vehicles sold in the past 10 years are still on the road today. That's being built for the long run.

Say hello to the new 2015 Subaru #Outback -- the next generation in a family tradition of trustworthiness.

Kristin is a great example of the Connecticut Subaru driver who really is more a family member -- such a bond between brand and owner, it warms us to hear about it. It makes us even happier to be the ones to help her continue that legacy!

Yes...pun intended. =)

Working with Jay at Mitchell Subaru was so easy and pleasant. We've gone to Mitchell for years and I never thought about looking anywhere else for my new car. Sad to see my 1999 Subaru Legacy go, I was excited to get the new 2014 Subaru Forester Limited. Jay was very patient with me as I learned all the new buttons and features on the Forester, and even when we had to keep delaying our purchase for various reasons, he never gave me the impression that he was bothered by my constant emails or calls. When I finally was able to purchase the car, he explained everything about the process in detail and called to follow up after a couple of weeks.

Everyone at Mitchell is always friendly and helpful and I never got a "pushy salesman" vibe. The financing part was also easy, and they have this cool new DocuPad thing (or something like that) that made the process more interesting for the many papers you have to sign :)

We are a Subaru family and a Mitchell Subaru family!

I went to the Subaru Dealership for a 60,000 mile checkup. I was treated in a very professional way. I was explained what they did to my car in a way that I understood it. The service was excellent and the people there made me feel very welcomed and we had some laughs. I will continue to go there for my future car repairs, for sure. Should I need to purchase another vehicle that would difinetely be place I would go. Awesome dealership. Thanks guys!

Snow cleared, and we're back in business! It's a quick process to maneuver the plow around our lot, since the Subarus are so easy to pull out of the drifts. How did your Subie fare in the storm? Did you come to anyone's rescue?

"Drag races, track trials, skidpan duels and a hillclimb."  With an international event like 'Scoobyfest', you'd have to imagine the adrenaline level is somewhere around 11.

For this #ThrowbackThursday, we're going all the way back to the first #Subaru model imported to the US -- the 1968 Subaru 360.

You could buy one for $1,300, get 66 miles to the gallon, and only 332 were sold in the States. Talk about a rare bird...

While "Brand Perception" may not be a factor that the average driver really concerns themselves over, the other two reasons for Subaru's surging success are plain to see, and easy to agree with. Your thoughts?

Three minutes of rev, pop and groove. Japanese performance teams Kouteisennin and Time Machine, along with beat boxers Tatsuya and Rinka, give a funky tribute to the Subaru Impreza, in what they call "Good Performance. In One."  Share and enjoy!

This was my first time at Mitchell Subaru in Canton. I was interested in a Forester. Ora Curry was my salesman and was a wonderful guy. Gave me no pressure but fully informed me on the vehicle which is rated #1 for three years and explained everything in detail. I was most impressed with his presence compared to other auto salesman that I have encountered in the past. He was polite, very congenial and understood my needs. He took me out for a test drive to make sure I was pleased with the auto's performance and also went over the specific details the model featured fully. The mgr. was also very nice and gave me a very good deal, that I would be able to afford. I would rate Ora and his crew at Mitchell Subaru a ten. It was a pleasure there..

You're going to make us blush, Deborah, thank you! Ora is a tremendous asset to the team, and both he and our sales manager Andy are great exemplifications of the principles that Walter Mitchell founded the store on over 40 years ago -- listen to, offer help to, and treat others as we'd expect to be treated!

Gory back story: My 12-year-old Saturn blew its 4-year-old timing belt on the NY Thruway 280 miles from home. Took out the engine and steering - at 68mph, a very exciting experience. I got towed off and got home late Thursday (another adventure altogether). I knew I needed a small wagon or SUV, wanted reliability, and decided to start with Subaru. Made the appointment for the next day at9:00am. I dreaded the entire process as my last buying experiences weren't all that jolly. The glimmer of hope I had was that Mitchell has been around forever, and several friends highly recommend them. But still... Nick Hurley was the all-star sales rep. He listens- actually LISTENS!!!!!!!!! Which was a total, complete shock- I wanted a basic smaller wagon type, good gas mileage, manual transmission, as few bells and whistles as possible. A Forrester was way too big, the Crosstek was a maybe, and the Impreza hatchback a distinct possibility. We decided to try an Impreza first, then if I didn't like it, we could go for the Crosstek. He pulled a demo model- 2013 Impreza Sport Premium, which had some exterior bling and a very basic interior- just my style (I can ignore the bling, I'm not a guy). It handled beautifully, and Nick never, ever, not once, put any pressure on me to buy, buy, buy. He was perfectly willing to let me try, try, try, in fact. Not necessary- I decided on the car on the spot after the test drive. Ryan was the finance wing of the team and he worked with Nick to complete the paperwork then and there. I came back a few hours later and Ryan and (Greg? the business manager???) worked with me to add a couple of things- again, never any pressure, no sense of disdain for a woman, nothing. Very even- tempered, professional, low key, even. The whole team was polite, courteous, welcoming... and I'm not even running out of adjectives! The training the sales staff has is phenomenal- whoever is in charge of it deserves huge points, and senior management deserves a big pat on the back for implementing it. Anyone looking for a car at a fair price should come here. I will tell everyone about my experience with Mitchell, and send them along without a second thought. My only suggestion is to put out warm chocolate chip cookies once in the afternoon or whenever is busiest. Why? I read research that said the scent of chocolate chip cookies warm from the oven puts most folks in a serious buying mood. Not that they need any help, but just a suggestion! ;-) Highly highly recommended- a pleasant experience all around. Thank you Nick & Ryan (And Greg!)!

Thank you so much for the details (both the grim past, and brighter future!) on your Subaru experience. We're delighted that Nick, Greg and Ryan were able to meet and exceed your expectations! (...and we'll absolutely try the cookie idea, if we can keep the staff away from them!)

I sent emails to several dealerships and Drew Furtado was the first to respond. He wasn't pushy and I could tell he was really listening to what I was saying. He had real information over the phone. As a result we ended up going to Mithchell and it wasn't a waste of time...no bait and switch! Drew'/Mitchell Subaru earned our business. I love my new Forester!

We'll always be the first to offer product information to anyone learning about the Subaru brand, regardless of where someone is in the shopping "cycle". We're so glad that Drew and the staff were there to answer -- and provide -- everything you needed!

From the confusion / delay when dropping my car off for an appointment, talking me into and then charging 2X the phone quote for brake fluid replacement, to 'diagnosing' a $1800 head gasket replacement needed which turned out to be a $40 oil pressure switch replacement (at another mechanic shop!!), etc, etc, I will NEVER take a vehicle to Mitchell Suburu again!
Response from the owner - 3 weeks ago
Eva, as our service team spoke with you since this issue, we're hoping everything was resolved to your satisfaction. If there is anything more we can do, please do not hesitate to call our operations manager at (860) 693-7723, and we'll stay right on top of it.

Recently, when my car lease with another dealership was up, I went into Mitchell Subaru expecting great service since I had dealt with them in the past and they did not disappoint! Chris Townsend helped my husband and me narrow down our options, took us for a test drive, and gave us plenty of information to help us in our decision-making. He was polite, very knowledgeable, personable, and not pushy at all. There was absolutely no pressure to make a quick decision which I greatly appreciated since I never like making any decisions on the spot. They made us a very fair offer which we ended up taking the next day and made the paperwork quick and painless. When I went to pick up the car, Chris reviewed all of the car's great features, set up my phone with the Bluetooth, answered all my questions and even moved the car into the service garage area to do all of this so that I didn't have to go out in the pouring rain!! I highly recommend Chris and Mitchell Subaru- a really pleasant car leasing experience. I am very pleased with my new vehicle and the service I have received thus far.

Emma, we really apprecaite this feedback. Chris is an invaluable asset to the company, both from a sales perspective, but also as a representation of the care and concern we believe our customers deserve. We look forward to keeping in touch in the miles and years ahead!
