A t Prime 16, the name says it all. “Prime”: meat from young, well-fed cattle. “16”: the number of ounces in a pint. Still unclear? Check the logo: a minimalistic drawing of a bovine head, in which the face and snout together form a pint glass. The message is plain—beef and beer—even if the execution isn’t at …

I've returned to the Mitchell Subaru family after buying a used 2012 Forester that was their loaner vehicle for three years. Which meant that they took really good care of it! And they're taking very good care of me. I like the fact that I can schedule appointments online which is very efficient. The service staff and guys who work on the car are professional, respectful, and keep me posted on the health of my car [thanks, Larry!]. Services are reasonably priced. So I'm happy, and safe. Judy

The "happy and safe" status of our clients is effectively the goal of each of our team members, Donna -- from Larry in service, to Joe and his staff in the sales showroom, to Paul behind the parts counter. It's a 'family' effort!

The sales department is amazing! René was so helpful every step of the way while buying my new Crosstrek! I would recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a new or used Subaru. We will definitely be back to buy another car from Mitchell Subaru!
Response from the owner - 2 weeks ago
We'll be here ready to help when you do, Matt -- but for now, get some years and thousands of miles of love from your Crosstrek!

I moved up here with my 2015 Outback and took it in recently for an oil change. I was very positively impressed with the service even though it was so simple a job. It was very easy to make the appointment, they got the work done really quickly, and were really friendly about it all. Look forward to going back.

And we certainly looking forward to seeing you again, Danny -- but not until the next regular maintenance interval, of course!

They let you make an appointment online yet upon arrival to the service dept they tell you it'll be a 2 hour wait. What is the point of making an appointment? The advisors are worthless. The one woman is coughing her germs all over the place and never smiles. The other two advisors are complaining about a service a customer wants that isn't covered by his warranty. Worst. Service. Dept. Ever
Response from the owner - in the last week
Valerie, we appreciate your feedback on your experience -- and we apologize for the delay in a busy service center. We try to have all our scheduled appointments processed in a timely manner, and were able to see you on your way in 70 minutes, but you are correct that we are in need of (and are in the process of approving) expansions to the facilities to handle more concurrent vehicles. The advisors you referenced were indeed working on a warranty issue: they were trying to find a way to ensure that another customer's repairs would be covered by warranty. Thanks again for sharing your review, and we'll certainly leverage your advice to make continued improvements to the way we streamline and expedite the service and maintenance process.

I was very disappointed with my second and last scheduled maintenance appointment with Mitchell Subaru's service department. First of all, my vehicles drop off took much longer than expected. Even though I had an appointment, am an existing customer, and arrived a few minutes early, it still took roughly 15 minutes to check in and another customer who arrived after me was in and out before my vehicle's intake was complete. I had a 10:00 am appointment time for an oil change, tire rotation, and cabin filter change. Mitchell said they would call when it was done. My husband and I were in the area around 2:30 pm and figured they must have forgotten to call, so I dropped off my husband to pick up the car. It wasn't ready and I suspect not even worked on because Mitchell expected to need another 45 minutes to complete the work. What's the point of making an early appointment if they're going to take all day to do the work? We finally received a call that the car was ready at 3:15 pm, leaving us only 45 minutes to go back and pick it up before they closed the service department for the weekend. Once we got the car home, my husband informed me that the car's passenger brake light was out. After reviewing my paperwork, I noticed that a walk around inspection was performed and my husband should have been informed of the technician's results of the safety check and report card. I guess they don't check brake lights, and there was no safety check review or report card. We had our gripes with our Impreza's first service at Mitchell, but decided to try them again because they are the nearest Subaru dealership to us. We will not make that mistake again.

Krista, we've given full attention to your shared experience, and sincerely apologize for the mistake in communication that transpired. Please be aware that for any services we can make arrangements for a loaner vehicle in advance (at no charge, of course). Copies of current insurance card and license would be needed and can be faxed or emailed prior to speed things up. We'd be more than happy to discuss the issues with your recent visit if you care to call our service manager, Drew Paris, at 800-795-9443; we'll do everything possible to incorporate your observations into improving our processes -- and communication -- to avoid any such issues in the future. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.

Everyone is very keen and courteous. The problem lies with the vehicle. I spend more than 20 hours a week in my subaru commuting to work and back and one of the selling points, for me was Subaru's integrated entertainment system. Pedigree of good vehicles; ergo decent integrated entertainment system, yes? If it's industry standard then shouldn't the connectivity with other industry standard devices be second nature? Apparently this is not quite true. Device: iPhone 6+ with bluetooth Device: Crosstrek Age: Currently 10 months old. Here's my litany: I've paired and unpaired my phone 49 times. I've had Apple diagnose my phone 5 times - all green across the board. I've restored my phone from factory settings 12 times - so there's a clean slate across the board. My music plays sometimes when the device pairs after I start and then sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it plays music that I thought I'd forgotten and then again, sometimes it remains silent. Sometimes it plays podcasts that I haven't heard for almost a year and sometimes it doesn't. After taking a call, the music doesn't automatically begin - yet, sometimes it does! Try moving forward or backward in an album, 4 or 5 tracks and the interface freezes and that's it, no more music. Switch to radio and then in 5 mins switch back to bluetooth connection and its back - maybe. (The phone says the music/ podcast/ phone call is active but the car says otherwise.) National Subaru HQ informed me that an alternative was Apple CarPlay and that it was available for my Crosstrek but no one seems to know how to activate it other than the person at the National Subaru HQ. The starlink says "Invalid operation" when you try to activate it. Phone calls come in and then are not paired through the speakers when it states they are. I've gotten to the point where I'm compiling a spreadsheet of everything because it's the only thing to do when you have to pull over and switch off the car and then wait for three+ mins to switch it on and hope that bluetooth connects (at least Siri is able to recognize voice commands other than in some dull robotic monotone voice!) So, my review: good vehicle, so far; great mileage; comfort and space for my needs. Everything else, quite honestly, sucks because I dislike getting into my car to go to and from work having to listen to iheartradio rubbish. The steering wheel controls for the 'entertainment' system may work, but then again, may not. Back to my spreadsheet!

Absolutely a legitimate issue with the audio integration, Lawrence, and we're right there with you in researching what SoA can do to address and correct the device pairing -- whether that requires a software or firmware update, or anything in between. We'd ask, though, that those details be included in a review of Subaru, as a brand -- we hope that our dealership (which is what gets evaluated here) rates higher than that!

I bought a crosstrek from Greg! I was not looking forward to car shopping, but it was an absolute breeze with him and the entire mitchell team. We went to torrington subaru first - don't even bother, the prices were better at mitchell, the people were nicer, overall perfect dealership, I will never go anywhere else, or drive anything else!
Response from the owner - a month ago
These are things we love to hear -- thank you, Courtney, for putting your time and trust in Greg and all of us!
