People put off creating their estate plan for many reasons; difficulty facing death, not knowing the legacy they want to leave, the cost of getting the documents written or the difficult decisions about who gets what. But not leaving instructions leaves the decisions to the courts, and inevitably complicates things between heirs. It truly is a gift to have a current estate plan in place.
