Husband had surgery three times and every visit the staff were all the best. Very happy to have been referred to this center and to the physicians we were fortunate to have. Great grandson has several doctors at Mission Hospital and they too are great. Can't say enough good about this facility and I have visited three different hospitals between one and three times weekly for over three years. Just the best!

I was scheduled for tumor removal this passed week, was told that i would have to be in recovery for 3-7 days. I told the pre-op team where not to put my iv in my fore arm because my veins would blow, they waited til after i was under anesthesia to put the ivs in to my arm. I woke up with swollen and bruised arms. I was moved into my recovery room a few hours after surgery, the next day they changed my gown where they busted my stitch in my abdomen that was continuously bleeding. I had blood on my sheets that they never changed, they were suppose to help me get up to walk and go to the bathroom after they removed my catheter, they did not. I would call for the nurse to help and they would show up tell me that they would tell another nurse and know one would ever come. I thank God that my husband was there to help because this nursing staff was no help at all. They were scheduled times when they were suppose to give me pain medication and my husband had to go to the nurses station numerous times after waiting for more than an hour past the times when the medication was suppose to be given. I spent 2 nights in the hospital only, they didn't seem to have any organization at all. The staff was not attentive at all. When i was discharged they gave me an inhaler, I got no paper work or instructions for an inhaler. They simply told me it was in my packet so it must be for me. I have never had such a terrible experience at a hospital, I felt violated, neglected and thoroughly mistreated. Think twice before you decide to get care at this hospital because they took terrible care of me.

I had a horrible experience taking my 1 1/2 year old to the ER. 3 hours after arriving, we still were not seen. Come to find out, she has a hernia. What if it had erupted before someone could see her? I thought y'all had a brand new children's ER!!!??? This was a horror experience. Horrible nurses. Horrible facility. I have written this review before and somehow it was deleted. I also wrote the same correspondence to Mission directly. No one has even apologized. If I am not given an apology, I will be contacting the BBB.

Wonderful staff, very friendly, even the cafeteria staff were very nice. I don't know why there are so many negative reviews.

I fell walking my dog....tripped over a hose and dislocated my elbow......intensely painful experience! From the minute the ambulance arrived, bringing caring, patient paramedics to assess me, to the emergency room staff, who took excellent care of me, to the doctors who performed my procedure to reset my elbow, to the discharge nurse and attentive volunteer who assisted me, I am so grateful to all of you for your professional and personal attention to me In a very stressful situation. Everyone was in a great mood, and expressed kindness and gentleness, along with professionalism, in the face of my tremendous pain. This is my second positive experience at Mission......food poisoning last fall took me to emergency dept. I am so happy with both of my experiences at Mission. Nothing but great things to say about every person on the team who took care of me.

You a-holes just put my mother through the wringer with your god-forsaken privacy laws. Learn some common decency and respect and petition for privacy laws that make sense in your backwards state (I'm from there so I should know). If a patient has been transferred to another facility, you can AT LEAST SAY THAT. Not cause family members to go into a complete panic for those patients of yours who might not be mentally present enough to be put out on the streets or given the freedom to sign themselves in and out. I don't blame the staff at all. But I do blame the bureacracy of this institution. Get a grip.

10 /24 /16 This is the worst place I have ever been in my 39 years of life Doctor never took the time even to listen to my Pain and concern he said there was nothing he can do for me I was diagnosed with cramp fasiculation syndrome , but now I been experiencing electricity shocks down my neck I call before driving 1 hr and 1/2 and a co workers call in sick to take Me to hospital Before i call and ask if they had a neurologist they reply with a yes sir well the neurologist only sees people who had strokes therefor he said I'll send you to a neurologist out side Network well my neurologist is Dr: palay from. Mountain clinic and. I been waiting weeks for him to answer my calls he's to busy playing golf and this is the same neurologist this hospital wants to refer me Listen now I'm not seek in drugs I don't need them dont know what you think you redneck bastard I make 53,000 a year and have insurance I wanted help and answers for my pain because I haven been the same sense July the other hospital Harris regional in sylva also didn't touch me because they didn't have a neurologist. And send me to asheville What is wrong with this city the you people have a lot to. Learn I can go blind, paralyzed anything when it came to the brain you had no compatiion didn't offered no kind of help just a referrals- also you dirtbag I'm a respected musician how has achieved more in life that you ever will you got it all wrong and if I've go to Hospital in tears is for help not for you to treat me like less of a humanbeen in top of my pain you grab my hands and make me press hard to feel my strength and that's how you come to the conclusion theres nothing you can do or it was because my Spanish heritage you raises bastard either way from this point on you are responsible for whatever happens to me because you promised to help, safe and preserve human life remember that you are inresposible, selfish, ignorant and raises you shiuld be ashame very ashame of your self and who you are you have love ones too you don't treat people like that hiw will you like someone treating your mother the way you treat me but your such a dirt bag you probably don't care my name is Michael Amparo if you ever want to look me up and learn what it is to be a caring, responsible loving humanbeen who helps other before himself who will sit and talk to the riches man or the worst like you I'm only sorry I don't recall your name because of my pain to hell with thia hospital and I'm also writing a letter to the board with my medical records and Facts witch you didn't care to see or listen 10/24/16

I would avoid the Highlands physical therapy office all together. Their head therapist is very unproffesional and i very much question if she has any real credentials. Multiple times she made very sexually innapropriate or religiously agressive statements which made me feel very uncomfortable. She also recomends something called an Alkaline diet which honestly makes me wonder if her medical degree is legitimate. Admittingly the other therapists seem very knowledgable and skilled.. if you have to go there or have to take your parents there, i would demand another better therapist.
