Teeth Whitening Tip - A professional cleaning in our dental office can help remove stains that would otherwise make your smile less than bright.” Once the teeth have been cleaned, the whitening can be far more effective. During your cleaning appointment, we are more than happy to answer any questions you might have. Whitening is appropriate for every age, it is not just for young people. In fact, people can look a lot younger if their teeth are clean and white.

Even just speaking with Dr. Regina Miranda or Dr. Mario Miranda and getting to know more about their demeanor, their philosophies regarding dental care, and their experience can help you to feel far less anxiety about getting the treatment that you need. You want to be on the same page as the person you’re trusting with your smile.

Most patients consider the importance of exams, but consultations are also an important part of your oral health. During the examination, Dr. Miranda can learn more about the current state of your teeth, but it’s through a consultation that we can learn more about your long term goals and concerns about your oral health. Consultations can help patients feel at ease by learning more about procedures, costs, recovery times, and more.

Chew Sugar Free Gum – We recommend brushing your teeth after eating, but the reality is, this is not always possible. Enter sugar-free gum. Chewing sugar-free gum after meals helps stimulate saliva flow, which is important in helping maintain a normal pH balance in the mouth.

Calcium and Vitamin D Play a Key Role in Oral Health.
Need a good source of calcium? Dairy products are a great source, yet they are not the only option. The good news is that you can get these nutrients from multiple different sources. For example, just one ounce of sesame seeds contains almost as much calcium as an entire glass of milk. Other major sources of calcium are dark leafy greens like spinach, kale, and collard greens.
When it comes to vitamin D a great source is the sun! When exposed to the sun’s rays, your body naturally produces vitamin D.

Forming a flossing habit should be easy…
Make a visual reminder: Set up something visual to remind you. This can be as simple as keeping your floss right next to your toothbrush where you will see it. A post-it note on your bathroom mirror could work just as well.
Make an appointment with yourself: Keep a tally of each time you floss on your calendar. Watching the checkmarks pile up can be fun, and after no time you’ll see that you’ve created a habit.

Root canal therapy is highly effective. After root canal therapy, we offer natural-looking dental restorations to help you regain a beautiful smile. With proper care, the treated tooth can last a lifetime. Once the root canal therapy is complete, you should treat your tooth the same as the rest of the teeth in your mouth. Continue to brush and floss regularly and schedule routine cleanings with your dentist. This will protect the treated tooth and help avoid future dental problems. It is important to follow Dr. Miranda's instructions when caring for your tooth following root canal therapy.
