I will be attending the Toronto Legal Hackathon on June 2, 2017. This is an event I am looking forward to.

The challenge for participants is to produce solutions that will streamline how law firms and legal departments operate. The goal is to reduce costs to clients and the delivery of legal services while increasing the efficiencies throughout the process.

The solutions created by teams at this hackathon will help law firms and in-house legal departments to better manage their firms. Data will be analyzed to promote efficiencies from service providers to clients. The aim is to provide real world solutions to reduce costs to end users.

We will be broken up into teams competing for prizes. It should be a fun event even though it will last all weekend!

The quest to uncover the truths of our physical world have led to profound developments in mathematics. These, in turn, have created a deeper understanding of physical phenomena. Classically Sir Isaac Newton developed calculus. Now string theory is leading to the new mathematics of homological mirror symmetry.

Unquestionably since 2003 chronic pain is a form of long-term disability entitled to injury compensation.


 


At that time the province of Nova Scotia excluded chronic pain from the purview of the regular workers’ compensation system.
