Finished: a vacation Miette to get my mojo back (Tilly & the Buttons Miette wrap skirt)
Two bows are better than one! (Also: I will pay no attention to those pesky press-resistant hem puckers: all that matters is I made a pretty skirt. With comfy pockets. That I can wear!) So I just went to Austin on vacation with my family, and when I arrived...

Finished: Candy Striped Tiramisu! (And why I am knit dress obsessed!)*
Sweeter than candy: I finally made my striped Tiramisu knit dress! Seriously, I have been planning to make a candy-striped Tiramisu with this fabric since last August, when I was still illustrating the first Cake Patterns envelope cover! And I'm so glad I f...

Knitting again: Knotty cabled chartreuse gloves (in progress)
My cheap and flimsy acrylic gloves have NOT been serving me well this winter, and after getting horribly cold and soggy fingers while sledding with my daughter last week, I decided to take matters into my own hands. This beautifully cabled design is the fre...

I have the highest praise for Mark and his Alexander Technique lessons, both the group and individual lessons. When I first started going to Mark's classes I'd been suffering from severe repetitive stress pain from computer use in my arms, hands back, shoulders and neck. After a few months of attending group or solo lessons once a week the difference has been LIFE-CHANGING. Before the lessons I think it's fair to say I was in constant pain... but with Mark's amazing guidance, the pain has been reduced by 70-80%, and I have far more pain-free days than painful days. Highly recommended!
