Hello, world.  -

Please share for me :-)

On my desk is a brand new, unopened LG G Watch in white. I was lucky enough to be given this but have no use for it currently so I'd like to pass it on to someone who will make good use of it.

If you'd like me to post this to your home address, absolutely free of charge then reshare this post. Whoever has the most direct public reshares (i.e. whosever reshare is reshared the most) will win the watch. For free. No kidding. Happy New Year.

Actually one is a broader category where the other falls into. So giving to the homeless is also giving to the poor.

Has any experienced any issues with the Note 4 randomly restarting for what appears to be no reason?

I have had the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 now since Friday and it has to be said, it simply is the best phone in the universe!!.

It's more than just a phone, it's a high end portable computer with one amazing camera in the back. Over the weekend I have taken some of the best pictures I have ever taken on a mobile device.

It's so slick, no lag just pure mobile computing....it's samazing!

As a loyal Android fan and all round teckkie, I always like to play with different OS to see how it compares, performs etc. So I picked up and updated handset running Windows Phone 8.1 and my first impressions are......

....Very little since WP 7 appears to have changed at all.

Apps still seem to be very limited and in no way as fluid as the Android versions. Switching between apps is almost as clumsy as Apples IOS but at least you do benefit from a back button which for those in know I could personally never live without!

I still find the white on black menus messy and confusing and long!.

The Metro front end again is a little confusing and messy.

Overall the experience in Android, especially Android L appears to be considerably better.

It is good to experience the alternative options just to see how they compare every now and then.

I could not see myself using this phone in daily use.

Good to hear what you guys think?

A must read!. Apple sensorship in the making! !

Apple will BAN any media doing a bend test video
Apple is committing fraud on a massive scale by selling a flawed device to millions of people willingly. Here might be why we don't see any bend tests on +The Verge CNET +Engadget and +ABC News: One of the major German tech medias +COMPUTER BILD demonstrated to their audience how fragile the iPhone 6 Plus is and Apple's response is to BAN Computer BILD from all future Apple events and early access review units, see +COMPUTER BILD's open letter to Tim Cook: http://www.computerbild.de/artikel/cb-News-Handy-Apple-boycotts-COMPUTER-BILD-An-open-letter-to-Tim-Cook-10953399.html

Apple boycotts COMPUTER BILD: An open letter to Tim Cook
VON RAINER SCHULDT, AXEL TELZEROW, 29.09.2014, 15:00 UHR

In a video COMPUTER BILD showed how easy it is to bend an iPhone 6 Plus. The reaction from Apple: no more testing devices and no more invites for COMPUTER BILD. It is time for an open letter to Tim Cook.

Huge success for Bentgate video from COMPUTER BILD
This video is a screamer: Axel Telzerow, editor in chief of the german PC magazine COMPUTER BILD, proved how easy it is to bend the iPhone 6 Plus. The 5 minute clip reached over 350,000 people via YouTube. Blogger and TV stations reported about the video.

Apple boycotts COMPUTER BILD
And Apple? The german PR department of the company reacts in a disturbing way: Instead of answering the questions about why the iPhone 6 Plus is so sensitive, a manager called COMPUTER BILD and told us, that COMPUTER BILD will not get any testing devices and no invites to official events any more.

Open letter to Apple boss Tim Cook
On occasion of this reaction, COMPUTER BILD editor in chief Axel Telzerow applies to Tim Cook via an open letter:

Dear Mr. Tim Cook!
Just like anyone else who is obsessed with digital technology we have eagerly awaited the new iPhone. We felt relief when the head of our telecom department one day shouted “Here we go!”, presenting an invitation to the great event. And certainly we took a flight, went all the way to California, just to tell our readers every detail about the device that you and your company have worked on so hard for such a long time.
When the iPhone 6 Plus finally hit the market we noticed a few reports on a possible problem. According to them the case seemed to be weak, “bendable”, to drop the evil word. Being popular for our tests with utmost scrutiny, we could not leave the subject without comment. Of course that required further tests since testing new products without any prejudice is our obligation to our readers.
And so we bought an iPhone 6 Plus, just to find out whether it was a singular problem or some kind of hoax. The test was quite simple, so we could easily record it on video. Just to prove that what happens is nothing but the truth.
To be honest: We were shocked about how easy it was to bend the device. And so were around 200.000 viewers who watched the video up until now. We can imagine that you and your colleagues must have been shocked, too. This might have been the reason why we got a call from one of your german colleagues the next morning. He was upset, and it was a rather short conversation. “From now on”, he said, “you won’t get any devices for testing purposes and you will not be invited to Apple events in the future.”
Dear Mr. Cook: Is this really how your company wants to deal with media that provide your customers with profound tests of your products? Do you really think that a withdrawal of Apple’s love and affection could have an intimidating effect on us? Luckily we do not have to rely on devices that Apple provides us. Luckily, a lot of readers are willing to pay money for our magazine to keep us independent. So we are able to buy devices to do our tests anyway. Even devices of manufacturers that seem to fear COMPUTER BILD’s independent judgement.
Even if we are quite dismayed about Apple’s reaction, we won’t give up our principles: We will continue our incorruptible tests that have the same high reputation in the german media-landscape as Apple has for its products. So far. We congratulate you to your fine new generation of iPhones, even if one of them has a minor weakness with its casing. But we are deeply disappointed about the lack of respect of your company.

Best regards,
+Axel Telzerow
Editor in Chief COMPUTER BILD-Group

No reaction by Apple so far
COMPUTER BILD not only published this open letter, but also mailed it directly to Tim Cook and to the European Apple headquarter. There is still no reaction, but we will inform you, once a statement will reach us.

General Discussion  -

The Galaxy Note 4 was the first handset I brought on the actual day of release and will be the last Samsung I am likely to buy. The reason is that the phone restarts randomly throughout the day.

I spoke with Samsung Support and the best they could offer was to ship the phone to them and once received they would send me a replacement within 14 days!. 14 DAYS!!...that's the best you can offer. You sell me a faulty handset and I have to wait up to 14 days.

Sorry +Samsung Mobile USA but you lost a loyal customer this month. Goodbye Samsung (Once I get my refund) and hello Nexus 6!!

No apology, no offer of compensation and when I told the mindless moron on the end of the phone I would take a refund and buy a nexus he said "oh well", oh f**king well from the largest Cell phone provider in the world!!

So sorry for what you experienced with the Note 4.but don't blame the support team. It's their policy they are just doing their job. My friend and I are using Note 4 as well no problem here. Maybe it has factory defect. I don't know in your country if they have the return policy or warranty (here in UAE we do have that rule). Just return the phone and problem solved.

Complaining here in G+ won't solve anything

Good luck

In the UK at the moment on Business and found these in the window of a Pawn type shop called CEX. The guy said that they have had a lot of iPhone 6's in exchange for Android. That makes me very happy!! 😋

Average Food for the higher price charged. Staff not very bright and often make simple mistakes with orders. Not sure why it often busy as it has little appeal except convenience for Dickens Heath Residents.

One Word....Awful!! After a 4th attempt of us apparently not being home (Which we were) I spoke to a Manager who confirmed that the drivers GPS Showed he had not even been close to our property when he supposedly had carded us. Promised he would be sent back that day and still nothing. Awful Company with probably the worst customer service and most disrespectful staff I have had the misfortune to deal with. I could not and would not recommend this company to anyone and with so much choice why would you even bother!

Always Great value and great service. We have used this restaurant around 6 times since moving into the area and have never been disappointed. Service is good and food never disappoints. Great value for money, especially for a family.
