Thank you Elise! It's still summer break at Stanford but a new flock of cute little college kids should be arriving soon.

Here's another Oaxacan profile. We were introduced this woman while looking for a weaver in the small pueblo of Santa Ana del Valle outside of Oaxaca City, Mexico. She was very friendly and kind, blessing us before we parted. This was my favorite face from the trip.

This one is from this year's the Maker Faire Bay Area in May (San Mateo California). I didn't get as many shots as I did last year there but I did get a couple that I liked.

Introduction
I'm a software engineer in Silicon Valley just cruising from one tech bubble to the next and trying to stay healthy until the singularity.  I fully appreciate the fact that it is a golden age for someone with my skill set in my part of the world.

My past-times are numerous and tend towards the technical: flying, ballroom dancing, and photography to name just a few.

I'm a die-hard libertarian and think everyone who isn't is just a little crazy in the "doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results" sense.  I would gladly sacrifice security for more freedom - and that's not even considering the fact that security is mostly just an illusion anyway.
