Ok so yesterday I was looking up a band called FireFlight and accidentally typed FireFight, I corrected my spelling and got the results I wanted. Now today every time I type something into Google Search the page loads with the results I want then FireFight replaces my search and the search results field goes blank. Even when I came here to G+ the search bar at the top had FireFight in it and I had to delete it to be able to do anything. I'm using an up to date version of chrome and have run virus and male-ware scans and have gotten no results. PLEASE HELP!!!!UPATE
I've signed in on two other computers nw and Im having the same issue, but it's ony happening on Chrome, when I sign into my account on FireFox it doesn't happen. I've cleared my cache & cookies & history from the past week and still this won't stop happening. Every Google property I go to on Chome has "FireFight" in the search bar, but when I went t Yahoo it wasn't there and I was able to search. Something is wrong with Chrome. I'm getting Firefox sync set up and adding some extentions I need and dumping chrome for a while.
If anyon has any idas what this is please let me know since I do prefer Chrome over Firefox, but right now Chrome is a pain to use.UPDATE#2
Well after rebooting Firefox with my Googe account being logged in now the "FireFight" search in happening on Firefox...this is more than a Chrome issue, this is a bug with Google. If anyone from Google is reading this is there anything I can do to make this stop?UPDATE#3
Ok so about 10 hours after my last update I log into the computer that this all started on and booted up Chrome out of habit, the FireFight issue has seemed to stop. I have no idea what caused this to happen but I really think it was a server side issue, if it comes back I will post again. UPDATE#4
And it's back...Does anyone know how to make this stop?UPDATE#5
