Son: Yes.
Me: No!
Son: How about this one for $.99?
Me: Does it have in-app purchases?
Son: Uh, ya.
Me: Then, no!!
Son: How about this one for $20

Son: None.
Me: Yes! Enjoy your new game.

Throwin' it back this Thursday to one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. The Man From Atlantis. Found a copy of the pilot recently and watched it. Wow! I think most modern video podcasts have better production quality. Still... it holds a special place in my heart.

No, the Blue Moon this Friday has nothing to do with its color. It's just a name we use when our calendar year (or season) has one extra full moon in it. But if the moon were FEELING blue... I'm guessing this would be the reason why. ;-)

This is an awesome discovery! I love when NASA holds press conferences for surprise announcements.
The SETI Institute and NASA have confirmed the discovery of Kepler 452b, the most Earth-like planet ever encountered.

I'm downloading the NASA app now so I can keep up with it. Too bad the flyby is right when I'm heading to work, but hopefully I can catch some of it live.

I know soups are good for cold rainy days. Burgers and hotdog are great when it's hot out. But I'm at a complete loss what to do for MONSOON weather!?!

If you think Pixels looks like a fun movie for the whole family... think again! I'd AVOID this one. I don't think I've ever seen a movie slammed so hard by critics.
We were worried about this movie when we heard about it. While the nostalgia factor seemed like fun, the attachment of Adam Sandler made us afraid; very afraid. And now that the reviews are coming in, we were justified in our fear. Continue reading →

We really wanted to take the kids to this, but yeah the critics tore it up plus the language is horrible according to IMDB. We'll wait until it comes out on RedBox for my wife and I to watch.

This hot and humid weather we've been having may be making life miserable but it does have its moments.

I got to see Ant-Man last night at a preview showing and really liked it. Definitely another WIN for Marvel. But this one is different in that it's much simpler, smaller in scale, scope, and character (duh!). It's a more personal story than the other heavy hitting Marvel movies with a far more audience accessible hero. And that is a good thing. It's nice to have a fun breather film. Non-comicy viewers might find the opening slow since it has a lot to set up for both Ant-Man and Phase 3 Marvel films. But it doesn't take long to kick into full gear. And stay until the end of the credits. There are mid-credit and post-credit scenes. And comic fans won't want to miss either of them! I imagine Ant-Farm sales might see a surge after this movie.

Arrived early picking up Aaron from his Sailing & Kayaking Camp today. Probably the most relaxing 15 minutes I've had in awhile.

I don't spend much time trying to change minds these days. I'm much more focused on "educating" the ones still growing.

Introduction
I produce the Aaron's World podcast. An imaginative science-themed audio drama for young kids. It was created by my son, Aaron, when he was 6 years old. It's taken us over 5 years to finish the adventure.

Aaron's World is a 50 episode audio-drama following Aaron's time traveling adventures through the prehistoric world with his trusty talking computer companion, INO. If you like adventures with dinosaurs, time travel, robots, and plenty of SCIENCE? Then this podcast is definitely for you!

You can subscribe via iTunes or visit (www.mydogrocket.com) for more information.

Google Plus is my social media home. I love it here. If you want to get to know me and my podcasting family a little better, you've come to the right place. I don't post a lot, but when I do it tends to be public, family-focused, with lots of pictures. And a generous sprinkling of tech, science, and geekiness thrown in for fun.

Oh, and I tend to change my cover photo to match what I'm currently working on in the podcast. Not always, but clues and hints to upcoming episodes do pop up from time to time.
