In my opinion, this film is the true test of the Star Wars cinematic universe. I'm actually looking forward to these Star Wars "Stories" more than the Skywalker trilogies. I think its success will reside in how much new ground it breaks via good story telling. NOT by how heavily it links to the trilogies. Love this teaser trailer. Can't wait for the full trailer!

Spring Break sand dune sledding. Wasn't as easy as it looked. In fact, it didn't work at all. But they had fun trying.

I'm a huge Blizzard fan. So, I'm really looking forward to this young adult series due out Nov 2016.

I'm not sure. I still have a backlog of games to play. Too many games and too little time. 😟

The single most important thing to me in social media use is control over my feed and what I share. That's it. Simple! Sadly, this runs counter to the goals of every social media service.

Ya, G+ definitely is far better than the rest. Though, they are not immune from the forced sharing trend (+1s are now auto shared). But my frustration is more with FB. I really want to delete my account. I can't stand it there but still check in because of friends and family. I'm so frustrated with everything I do being shared whether I want it to or not. Literally! I constantly see posts, comments, likes, and wall messages from people I don't know. I've learned inappropriate things about friends because their comments to others (who I don't know) are plastered in my feed. I want to tell them so they can be more careful but it would be very awkward. And I miss posts by friends (on FB and G+) because they force filter my feed instead of allowing me to view chronologically (ya, you can work around that but it's inconvenient). I got ribbed by a friend annoyed that I hadn't responded to a post that FB never showed me. So now, I'm still on FB but rarely post, don't like, and rarely comment.

I kinda feel like the Internet gave us what we all wanted initially... and everything since then has been an attempt to take it back. And by that, I'm referring to the RSS feed. It's perfect in its effectiveness and simplicity. But it also gave complete control directly to content creators and content consumers. Middlemen and gatekeepers didn't control it, couldn't manipulate it, and couldn't monetize it. So, they slowly tried to kill it and replace it with feeds (social or otherwise) that they could control. Ya, I know it's more complicated than that. But it's still frustrating. And I guess this is my day to vent. 😉

Finally! This is the killer Dropbox feature I've been waiting for. While useful, cloud storage syncing never made much sense to me if it required you to have a 1TB hard drive in order to sync to a 1TB cloud drive. Sure, there are ways around that... but none are very convenient. THIS looks like it solves the problem and opens the door for getting by with smaller size SSDs.
Dropbox is today announcing a new upcoming feature of its platform, codenamed Project Infinite. When Infinite rolls out, you’ll be able to see all your files and folders stored on Dropbox in …

Marvel had advanced screenings of Captain America Civil War last night and the early reviews are extremely positive!!! The movie is still a month out so early screenings like this might mean Marvel is feeling pretty confident about this movie. Many reviewers are calling it the BEST Marvel movie yet. And there is considerable praise and excitement for Tom Holland as Spiderman. May 6th feels sooo far away now. I'm so excited!!!!

Watching the boys run down the dune gives you an idea of how big it actually is.

Also, notice the two people struggling with their climb up the dune. It's tough.

This is from an afternoon hiking trip in our neighboring city of Ojai. It's set back in the mountains behind us. The green won't last so we thought we'd go see it before it's gone.

Introduction
I produce the Aaron's World podcast. An imaginative science-themed audio drama for young kids. It was created by my son, Aaron, when he was 6 years old. It's taken us over 5 years to finish the adventure.

Aaron's World is a 50 episode audio-drama following Aaron's time traveling adventures through the prehistoric world with his trusty talking computer companion, INO. If you like adventures with dinosaurs, time travel, robots, and plenty of SCIENCE? Then this podcast is definitely for you!

You can subscribe via iTunes or visit (www.mydogrocket.com) for more information.

Google Plus is my social media home. I love it here. If you want to get to know me and my podcasting family a little better, you've come to the right place. I don't post a lot, but when I do it tends to be public, family-focused, with lots of pictures. And a generous sprinkling of tech, science, and geekiness thrown in for fun.

Oh, and I tend to change my cover photo to match what I'm currently working on in the podcast. Not always, but clues and hints to upcoming episodes do pop up from time to time.
