Can we please go back to the older ways of sealing packages?

If I ever win the lottery, I'm going to travel to all of these frigging manufacturers of goods, whether it be cereal, chips, batteries, etc.. and make the damn CEO's of the companies open their own packing of their product and see if they can open it nice and easy and neatly!! Just about everyone of them would fail!! This crap of having to superseal all of this is just that crap!!!

I don't think I've ever opened a recent cereal box without the top tearing because there is so much glue on it, then the bag inside, instead of the old wax type bags that used to open easily on one end, now they are made out of some crap plastic that keeps stretching until the whole side of the bag rips, the same with chips today. Batteries are sealed up in plastic like they are the most precious thing on earth, along with most things in the so called "bubble packages", and let's not even get started on any type of OTC medicine, that is boxed, then sealed again inside the box, and some even sealed again, and their famous "tear here", which never ever tears unless you have a friggin pair of pliers handy!

Then they came out with this so called resealable package. Resealable my ass. Maybe on a good day 10% of them will work right, the rest might as well rip out of the package and place in a good old ZipLock® bag. And on that just a note to David Seeds, who in the hell comes up with the bright idea to place a resealable package with the opening on the side of the bag?! Hmmm, who?

Then there are candy bars. Let's change the design and make such a "skin" tight wrapped that no one can open unless you have long fingernails to grab the famous, yup you guessed it, "tear here, or open here" marking!!! Bring back the end flap, so a normal person can open it.

And then there are spices, ketchup, and a lot of other kitchen items. Let's get the bright friggin idea to put a tamper seal of plastic around the top and then, oh yea, let's mess with people and put another seal under the cap too! Morons!!!

And the list goes on and on. At least you can still open a can the same way as years ago, with a simple can opener. That is until they figure someway to mess that up!

And incase you are wondering what started this, I was trying to open a box of frosted flakes and had to get a knife to run under the flaps to get them open without tearing them. Then it was useless anyway, because when I tried to open the plastic stretchy bag of cereal by pulling apart the top seam, instead of the seam opening up, it ripped down the entire side of the bag. So i did the new "normal", which is go dump the contents into a gallon Ziplock® style bag.
