"Beer Camp" -- that description ALONE on the label made it an intriguing impulse buy. Truth be told, it's a VERY tasty treat...one of the better additions to +Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.'s seasonal canon...
I am, in no particular order: imperfect; a husband that tries to get it right; snarky; the dorkiest dad ever (apparently); easy to please; a non-judgmental Christian (yep, we do exist); charitable; a lifelong learner; a bit gullible; an infrequent blogger; a rabid Trekkie (or Trekker, take your pick), as well as a foaming-at-the-mouth fan of The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica and Firefly. And always, ALWAYS regretless.
This theater complex is awesome for the sheer choice of movies -- 22 screens, for heaven's sake -- but it's SO crowded because of its central location. Concessions are wildly overpriced, if you wish to wait in the interminable lines. Also doesn't seem like the safest multiplex these days, and as a result, this is rarely my first choice of movie venues.
A co-worker of mine once called this place, "hell in primary colors" -- and he was right on the mark. The three stars are for Chuck E's pizza alone, which I LOVE...otherwise, save your hard-earned money to do something else more constructive with your kiddos, than to take them to this money-grubbing vortex.
I will go out of my way to find and eat at a Chik-fil-A...and I usually have to, as they're not as prevalent as McD's or BK. Hands-down, THE best chicken filet sandwich you will find on earth...particularly their spicy chicken. Outstanding waffle fries, too...
Fairly tasty ice cream treats, hand-kneaded and served up at an ass-raping price. Seriously, the prices and sizes for the manual mashing of ice cream and broken candy pieces is unbelievably expensive. Good, but not really worth it.
I would never in a million years try "B-Dubs," except my son who attends UMW dragged me here for "dinner" recently. And boy, did I misjudge this place...sure, they have a limited menu, and yes, they focus on chicken wings, but WOW, what a selection of wings they have. Try the dry rub varieties...SO good.
Okay, I *love* shelling and eating peanuts while waiting for my order at Five Guys...what's with the hate there? Regardless, this is, bar none, THE best burger I've had on the East Coast...fries are unmatched in terms of quality and taste, too. Burgers are a bit on the small side, but...taste makes up for it.
