Taking the FedEx day to a new level.

37signals gave their employees the entire month of June to work on whatever they wanted - new product ideas, features, business models, whatever. At the end of the month people presented their ideas. The better the pitch, the more likely it would be developed.

Bottom line from the article: If you can't spare some time to give your employees the chance to wow you, you will never get the best from them.

Push.io comes out of stealth mode. iOS platform for push notifications. I met the co-founders a few years back, these guys know what they are doing.  Keep an eye on them.

A recommendation in article is to switch to minimalist shoes.  I can confirm that when I made the switch about a year ago, my knees stopped hurting.  Also, the super lightness of the shoes just make me feel 'fast'!

Being a Great #Leader Means You Go First | You say you want to be a leader?  Give this article a read as being a leader is one thing, being a great leader is something totally different.

Quote from article: 'What few understand is that being a great leader means having to stand completely alone with your beliefs.'  There certainly are times great leaders stand alone, taking that first step of uncertainty.  I would like to think those times are few and far between, and more often surrounded by capable team members.

The Fallacy of Remote Wiping Your Phone | 4 reasons remote wipe of device just doesn't cut it.  Author advocates using other technologies that are cheaper, more reliable, and are proven.




I find the recommendations of this article interesting and they certainly point out some weaknesses of the remote wipe 'cure all' feature.
