I find it interesting how so many people are bothered by CSEC snooping on their public wi-fi activities and yet they give away their data to profit driven companies (in exchange for convenience) without so much as blinking an eye.

I think you missed my point. The data given to corporations can be easily mined by CSEC and other security organizations anyway. So no sense in complaining about their direct snooping when there is plenty of in-direct snooping going on. I also find it interesting how the second there is a real terrorist attack, the security agencies are usually the first to be blamed (other than the actual perpetrators of course). Anyway, all valid points on your end as well.

Strategic Marketing & Digital Engagement Speaker|Trainer|Consultant for Governments, NGO's and Associations. Partner at CEPSM.ca. Blog at MIKEKUJAWSKI.ca.
Introduction

I am a passionate consultant, trainer and professional speaker, specializing in strategic marketing, digital/social media engagement and social behaviour change marketing.  My specific niche revolves around helping governments, non-profits and associations excel in the modern digital landscape through evidence-based research and strategic planning.

In 2005, I helped launch the Centre of Excellence for Public Sector Marketing (CEPSM.ca), where I am currently a Partner & Senior Consultant leading the development of major national, provincial and municipal client digital marketing and/or engagement strategies. I’m personally fascinated by the broader global societal and cultural-anthropological changes taking place as a result of digital media. I think we live in fascinating times and I love having the privilege of being able to do what I do.

Over and above my consulting work, I’m a professional speaker, blogger and trainer in my field. I have worked with organizations spanning across 4 continents and have been asked to speak or keynote at hundreds of conferences, panels and events around the globe.

You can download my complete CV here.

Feel free to contact me if you’re interested in chatting about how I can potentially help you or your organization.
