Always wanted one of these, too - I've driven a couple, and they are great fun. The 2.3 Turbo is a very tough, moddable engine...
This 1987 Merkur XR4Ti (VIN WF1BT80W1HM667787) has only 11,500 claimed miles and is said to present as a well cared-for, nearly-new car. Condition does look to be pretty extraordinary inside and out, and the seller adds that it's fully functional as well. Find it here on eBay in Halifax, Pennsy

Yup always thought it was a nice looking car. Not really sure why they didn't sell well. Maybe if they had sold them through Ford instead of Mercury things would have been different.

I have owned two V4-powered Saab 96 cars. I have also owned a Koln V6-powered 2.6 Liter Mercury Capri. That said, something being possible doesn't intrinsically make it a good idea. Wonder what the engine compartment looks like?
This 1972 Saab 96 wears a nicely backdated, earlier style nose and looks great in bright olive green. Originally built as a V4-powered car, the car still runs Ford power, but now packs an additional pair of cylinders in the form of a swapped 2.8 liter Cologne V6. Said to run very well and stay cool,

Heavier and with a gearbox not suited to a lot of torque. Maybe better to squeeze a little more out of the V4.
I have had V4 and several V6 Fords, but no Saabs.

Interesting development, and I hope they stick together...

Good News! The band is back together! Austin Coil and John Force working together again! ( when they split, it was like parents divorcing, and realizing the good ol days are over)
Robert Hight, president of John Force Racing got us together. I want to clarify: he [Coil] does not work for me. He’s not on my payroll. He’s helping me because he loves me. He said, ‘I don’t know how a guy like you could screw all this up.’ ” “Yeah, when m...

Be still, my beating heart... I owned a '70 A65L, same color...
The 1969 BSA A65L Lightning is a stock-looking example from the tail end of classic BSA production, and is said to run and ride well. The bike's seller found it at an estate sale after a long search, but a year later a move and resulting lack of space force him to move it on with a clean Ontari

This 1967 Ford Anglia Estate (chassis BB24GJ51365) has been refurbished and now runs a quad motorcycle carb-equipped Toyota 4AGE and Sierra 5-speed in place of the original Kent/4-speed combination. Supporting upgrades have been made as well, and the car is said to have been featured in Retro Ford m

1954 Hudson Hornet sedan, rusting in peace in central Virginia. There's the remnants of a "Twin-H" emblem on the driver's side of the trunk lid, but the intake manifold is single-carb. Sheep in wolf's clothing?

What type of things do bartenders pick up on, exactly? We asked a few of the city’s spirit slingers to share their dating do’s and don’ts based on the parade of couples they’ve observed from behind the bar.

Good old days? Try rose-colored glasses...
One hundred years ago, half of the country lived on farms, families ate nearly as much lard as chicken, and there was just one car for every 50 people.

It is a human condition, thinking that everything was better before. It is of course absolute, utter BS.
