My review of the Amazon Fire TV. Cliff notes: It's good for Amazon content, but the Roku 3 is still my go-to streaming media player.

+Greg Hardin Totally agree. Roku 2 UI was horrible. I used the Roku 2 XDS and it had the exact same problems, connection drops and a slow interface.

The difference between the two is night and day. The interface is much faster and much more visual now.

However, you may want to wait for the Roku 4. My guess is it will be beefed up hardware with the same Roku 3 UI, in order to match the Fire TV anyway.

My fiance and I went to this Carrabba's location for dinner to celebrate some good news, but we don't plan on ever returning. Our service was absolutely terrible; basically a complete lack of attention. It took 20 minutes to get our waiter to come over just so we could order, then he disappeared when we needed just one refill. When we finally got our food (penne franco and chicken marsala), it was lukewarm and poorly cooked. After we finished, it took another 20 minutes to get the check. And we never got that refill on our drinks. Easily the worst Carrabba's experience that I've ever had, can't say that I'd go back any time soon.

Definitely a solid breakfast place. Typical diner style food, big portions and quick turnaround. The decor is fun, but seems a little out of place on Bell. Make sure you try the rye toast, I believe it's delivered in from Chompies. Unfortunately, it's not a great lunch or dinner place. The portions are just as big as breakfast, but the quality isn't as good. The sliders I had were cold by the time they got to the table and overcooked as well. The only thing that redeemed the meal was a solid chocolate malt. However, the service has been excellent all the times that I've been. It's also one of the cheaper places to eat on Bell.

This is a really tasty place for Mexican food and a convenient location if you live around Bell. I love the chicken enchilada plate and my fiance loves the carne asada tacos. They do an excellent job with custom orders (like absent or extra ingredients) and the salsa has just the right amount of flavor. I usually order a half pint of salsa and we coat our food in it. Prices are perfect as well. Also, if you like a good breakfast burrito, hit up Mixteca in the morning. The drive-through is pretty quick in the mornings and the machaca one is awesome.

Who gives the DMV a good review? Someone that's lived in West L.A. and had to deal with the unending nightmare that's known as the Culver City DMV. By comparison, this location is a dream. Are you going to have to wait a bit to get service? Sure. However, I was able to register my car in the state, get my new licence plate and get a new driver's licence in about an hour; a task that took me six hours (with an appointment) at the Culver City DMV. The Glendale location is also extremely clean and the young lady that helped me get everything squared away was extremely sweet and patient. I also find it amazing that Arizona hands out licenses that don't expire until you are 65. That's probably why the Glendale location isn't crowded. They don't have to put up with swarms of people trying to renew their license.

Definitely the best breakfast place on Bell! This isn't for the calories counters out there. Make sure to try the blueberry sweet cream pancakes. They stuff the pancakes with a ridiculous number of blueberries, so amazing. The cinnamon roll french toast is also top notch. Also, opt for the homemade sausage links or patties over the bacon or ham. I think they use fennel seeds to make them pop. So good! Be aware that trying to get a table in the morning on the weekend is probably going to be a 20 to 30 minutes wait at times. That's really the only drawback of the place. I've never tried their lunch or dinner specials, hence I cannot comment on the quality. The service is always great at breakfast though.

Fairly sub-par Mexican food. I got the chimichanga dinner and they came out soggy rather than crispy. The margaritas were pretty weak as well. The whole building seems a bit run down. We basically stumbled across the place when window shopping down in Glendale. I've had better Mexican food at Mixteca and Manuel's, both in the vicinity of La Perla if you go a bit north. Tip: If you are on foot and parked on the Glendale downtown side, it's easier to drive over. We walked and had to wait for a train to pass before crossing the busy road.
