J.J. Abrams trailer teases... something.

J.J. Abrams just released a teaser trailer for something, but he's not saying what, exactly -- or even vaguely. He doesn't even tell if it's a movie, TV show or something else.

Any guesses about what this is?

No idea, but I'm going to sleep with the lights on tonite.

Looks like we're finally getting that JJ Abrams/Albert Camus adaptation we've been clamoring for.

It's the new Star Wars, featuring Darth Seaweed and Darth Stitches.

I'd heard rumors of a revisiting to the "The Crow" movies... maybe this is it?
Edit: Never-mind that's F. Javier Gutiérrez

Remake of "The Prisoner"!?!

maybe from Almost Human that comes out this fall on Fox from Bad Robot?

. . . with more torture porn.

I'll bet the music is by Michael Giaccino. Sounded very Losty

Does the night sky imply extraterrestrial origins?

Albert Camus?

Yawn, more JJ originality for you.

Someone else said a sequel to LOST... :(

What he says at :22 makes me think AQUAMAN, maybe..

It is obviously a remake of the short-lived Fox show John Doe "John Doe" Intro

"I woke up in an island off the coast of Seattle. I didn't know how I got there ... or who I was. But I did seem to know everything else. There were things about me I didn't understand ... the brand, being colorblind, extreme claustrophobia. And while my gifts provided answers for others, I still search for my own. My name is John Doe."

Looks like it has something to do with oral surgery. Perhaps it will be atv drama about the journey of a college student through the trials and tribulations of dental school?

I hear ya +michael interbartolo  but I think I'm gonna go with my gut on this one.  The long hair of the guy matchs +Jake McLaughlin 's hair (one of the leads in the show ... https://www.google.com/search?q=jake+mclaughlin+believe&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=T1cSUt7UN6WRygGZ3oA4&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1024&bih=680  ) and I've gone and watched the promo a couple of more times and there's no mention if it's actually coming out this year (I do see where it's slated for next year on that website you displayed earlier  http://www.thefutoncritic.com/showatch/believe/ ).  The promo would also kinda fit into something that +J.J. Abrams would do (remember the last Star Trek) as the show description says "With her life and future now in jeopardy, the "Believers" turn to the only person they see fit to be her full-time protector. That is, once they break him out of jail."

Definitely not getting an Almost Human vibe from this. They've already released plenty of info for that show, and the visual styles don't really match.

Some people mention a new iteration or re-imagining of The Crow. This could fit much closer, but unless it really is a re-imagining, the souls returning for vengance don't usually have amnesia as stated in the teaser.

I'm thinking it has to be a completely new IP.

Isn't that the voice of Bane?
Could it be Scarecrow rebooted?
Bat Crazy?

+Marc D. yep plus in that trailer they show his hands being tied up as is the character in that teaser. They also have the priest saying "It's probably hard for you to remember who you once were."

I'm thinking the teaser is less actual Amnesia, and more JJ Abrams's favorite  look into your soul and remember the man your supposed to be schtick.

TV Series. .... It's got an "X-Files" feeling but darker.

Thought it was cool up until the stitches guy. Felt very B movie/ Hellraiser/etc.

"Stranger in a Strange Land" - Heinlein

+Matt Barr I so want there to be an #Aquaman  movie. He's the most underrated superhero. Most folk don't know he's bulletproof, can lift a car, superfast, immune to cold has enhanced senses including nightvision.

What no gratuitous use of lens flare?

On a semi-unrelated note, I'm disappointed that JJ Abrams never made a sequel to #Cloverfield. Would probably be not as good as the original but I would definitely enjoy a sequel.

+Ruben Casillas if it's any consolation,  #Super8  was the PREQUEL to #Cloverfield

However I thought they could have a trilogy, with the sequels being:

#Cloverland , where some local reporters cover the Creatures spread out across the country and

#Cloverworld , where government agents track that the Creatures have gone global--but after years of study the agents may have a plan to stop them.
