Ever since being introduced to long-distance running as a teenager by my brother, I've been hooked on it. After competing in high school, I continued on and have enjoyed thousands of running workouts and many races since.
Now in my 5th decade of running, I am still learning new things along the way, running-wise and nutrition-wise. This body's not as fast as it used to be, but thanks to God, I'm still at it. I'm also fortunate to be running in a town with a heavy influence in track and field events, Eugene, Oregon.
The runs are shorter, but still enjoyable. Cross training, weight training, and better choices on nutrition all lend themselves to a great experience. I'm in this for the long run!
